nitetrain, please dont ever compare Shaq to Fizer... Chandler does a decent job agaisnts smaller players such as Fizer... no he's not the best but he's not bad... he's good when he puts his hands up in the air and forces smaller players to change their shots....

As Far as the fouling for Chandler goes... did you ever think that maybe its because of the system they play that they get soo many fouls called?... lets face it, scott skiles demands defense, and you cannot allow easy shots, especially when players are driving in... so everytime a player drives in, you either have to take a charge, or put your hands up in the air.... puttin your hands up in the air and hoping you dont get a foul called on you is hard... especially if refs call ticky tack fouls often.... And to back off my point... i dare you to look at Othellas and Maliks and Songalias numbers on how many fouls they get per 48 mins. There up there w/ Chandler too bud

There are no shut down big men out there.... Its all about team defense... Like helping out and rotating.....

Dalembert is better than Chandler. Dalembert is the reason why Tyson got his contract and I wouldn't hesitate taking Daly over him at all. Daly also has better offense. Something I never thought I'd say after seeing Daly at Seton Hall and tapes of Tyson's high shcool games.

Chandler gets blocks, but Mourning gets much more riding the bench. Chandler led the team in rebounding this year, yeah that's right. That just tells me more about the lack of big men on this team rather than suggesting his play is good. He didn't even average double digit rebounds! Tyson after 5 years doesn't have the body to guard a Marcus Fizer so don't give me that whole playing out of position crap. Most PF's are bigger than him. Unless you think Tyson's a SF, there's no argument for Tyson being handled pretty easily. That tells me he should've been gaining much more weight and turning it to muscle instead of walking around hoping not to get injured during the summer.

What pisses me off the most is that Tyson's 7'1, and when he actually does get an offensive rebound or he's right under the bucket, he'll fumble the ball or he'll take it up weak. When he's guarding someone in that position, he gets dunked on usually(ie, see Michael Ruffin beasting him for a rebound and then giving him a facial in last year's playoffs).

People defending Tyson reminds me of people defending Tillman from the Bears. I find it ridiculous considering how much both get burned. Sure, they'll make a nice play and recovery once in awhile, but overall, they are very overrated in Chicago. Just remember, there's a reason Tyson doesn't start. I'll give you a hint, it's because he sucks unless you count being 2nd in the league in fouls being great.

Well, i guess you dont know much about Dalembert....
7.0pts, 7.0 boards 1.9BLKS 23mins a game....

Chandler-5.3pts, 9boards, 1.32BLKs, 26.8 mins.

And both suck in freethrows.... They're similar players, except Chandler plays more, (I wonder why?) and Chandler without question is a better rebounder...
And as far as Dalemberts offense goes, his sucks too, except he has AI playing w/ him... But yeah i agree, he's just a little bit tiny better of a offensive player than Chandler is...

So Ill ask you right now... would you hessitate to take Dali over Chandler??

And no its not Dalis fault Chandler got that big of a contract... Its the 76ers organization that over paid for him... But at the end of the day.... Both players are extremely overpaid... no doubt.

Pretty much. Trust me. I've seen tapes of Tyson in high school. I loved it when the Bulls got him and was way more excited that we got him than I was for Curry. He has completely digressed. He gets worse each year. He's vastly overpaid(I'd say most overpaid player in the league not counting guys who suffered freak injuries) and he's constantly out of position on defense. This is his 5th year. You read right, ITS HIS 5th FKN YEAR! He's not going to get it. Will he average double digit rebounds in the future? Sure, but he won't be doing much else and definately will never warrant the contract given to him. He's a great guy, he tries and all, but he just doesn't get it. Obviously, some of you guys still don't either. Luke Schenscher has been more effective in the series. Micheal Sweetney has been more effective.

Don't give me any garbage about Chandler will be great. I've waited 5 years. We've gotten more out of every one of our players who've played less years.

I think Dalembert from the 76ers might be the most overpaid player in the league..... sure he gets more blocks, but you should see how much he leaves his man to just try and block everything....

As far as Chandler goes... ill tell you what, he's not having that good of a playoff run right now... and right now is the reason why pretty much everyone is saying how much he sucks and stuff... Lets trade him right?!! Well theres a reason why he sucks soo much right now... He's guarding shaq.... which means he's playing outa position.... Chandler does not have the body to be guarding shaq... everyone knows it... on the other hand, at least luke and sweets can hold their ground down there... And Chandler cannot leave his man (Shaq) to help out defense as much as he did in the season... so yes... Chandler is looking horrible out there, but a lot is because he cant use his strengths out there w. shaq being out there...

And having Chandler around w/ the bulls is not that bad... theres a reason also why we have been leading the league in defensive field goal percentages for 2 straight years now... And thats all w/ defense, and rebounding, which is something Chandler is good at... (he led the team in rbs, and his lateral movement is really good which means he's able to get into postion right away and desrupt shot attempts with his long arms)

hey i agree w/ u... I love guys that can play D... And Chandler has awesome lateral movement, especially for a big guy.... I just cant wait till we get bigger bodies out there w/ Chandler so that he start roaming out there a little bit more and get some more weak side blocked shots... IF Chandler gains more muscle, he should be able to push out some more people and establish himself to the ground better and get more boards...

oh hey dont worry about that.... its cool....and yeah i totally agree w/ u.... i see Alridge averaging about 9-11 pts, about 7 boards and 1 blk per game his rookie season. And i think around the last 2 months he should be feeling confortable out there and averaging about 14pts, 8-9 rbs unless he hits the rookie wall banghead.gif blink.gif

If u guys notice... we make most of our runs w/ a small line up of 3 guards, or w/ kirk, ben, and luol as our backcourt.... and our front court is noc and umm... that one guy named Chandler... with this line up, we're good offensively... and good defensively... we get our stops w/ this lineup... and thats because everyone is fast and gets in position quick to defend and force tuff shots, and even take charges.... Chandler is important to this team... he brings out D, and rebounds when its time to focus... And if u ask me, rebounding and playing defense is huge.... u need stops and rebounding... those are some key points to win a game.... Its very underrated in this league....That being said, I still think Chandler is still just a little bit overpaid... He is a defference maker when he's focus tho...

No way we end up trading chandler.... Minnesota would not take him and his contract.... and if we want KG, we would most likely end up trading 1, but most likely 2, of our core guys, kirk, ben, luol, noc, and our draft picks... Ur giving up too much if u ask me....

Tyrus could be good, but i dont think he will develop his game here in Chicago... i think hes gonna need a lot of touches in order to establish himself as a offensive threat.... And I dont see that happening... (think Tyson Chandler) He has a long way to go on the offensive side, so he's just gonna be there for putbacks, and waiting for a pass to finish strong low for a while.... thats how he will get his points.... however, he has potential to be a good defensive pressence down low for Defense...

AND one more thing......Everyone knows we need someone that can score down low.... its a must....And thats why LaMarcus is our 15-16 pt, 9 rbs future guy... (could average 20 or more if he's determined) add that tall player w/ our backcourt.... could be pretty scary... Kirk, Ben, Deng, Alridge, Chandler=good offense, good defense....

Chandler is a great rebounder... but yeah the problem is that he's going up against the Diesel.... And that means foul trouble... everyone pretty much fouls a lot againsts him.. thats why a team has to use soo many bodies againsts him... And I think Chandler gets a lot of those "im a rookie" calls instead of "superstart calls or even veteran calls"..... And this is just one playoffs series, and thats going up against shaq.... Last year Chandler posted up some decent playoff numbers...
And another reason why Chandler isnt getting much rebounds is bacause hes focusing too much on blocking out shaq so he doesnt get an offensive rebound...and then a dunk.... and thats a good thing... And thats why most of his teammates r getting the boards instead of him....

Capt Kirk=15pts, 8 assists
BennyG=18-19pts 4As
Deng=15pts 6-7rbs
TChan=8pts, 8rbs, 2blks
Noc=14pts, 7rbs
Alridge(hopefully if we get him)=11pts, 7rbs, 1blk
Big guy FreeAgent=10pts, 8rbs

My First Post headbang.gif

I think our players will have some really big nights, and then some other nights they will have a little bit more quiet nights... It all depends on whos feeling it....
Chandlers Rbs will go a little bit lower because of adding some other good rebounders around him. But his blks should go a little bit up because he will probably be more free in the paint... He should be used more as a help out defender, bacause thats his strength.

Offense=99pts.... going up 2 points because of a better front count
Defense=95pts.... will be better w/ a new, taller front court...will start off slow in the beginning due to new players, but in the last 2-3months of the season, opponents will be avrg 89pts

Record=48-34 Get off to a ok start due to new faces and the West Coast trip, and then will be great the 2nd half of the season.
