Ok, based on numbers at HoopsHype, here's how we look in 2010 if we don't move Hinrich. We currently have 7 players under contract through the 2011 season, Hinrich, Rose, Thabo, Tyrus, Salmons, Deng, Noah. Those contracts together add up to $44.9 million. The current cap this year is $58.68 million. That gives us $13.8 million under the cap...before this year's draft pick (s) and before adding in any kind of extension or new dollars for Gray. The cap has been going up by a couple million dollars per year, but it's hard to imagine it continuing to do so in this economy, but every little bit it goes up counts. In other words, I think we're a few hundred thousand dollars away from being able to offer a true max contract in 2010 depending on what we do with this year's draft and where exactly the cap falls the next 2 years. We may very well have it. You can probably take Salmons numbers out of that equation. He can opt out of his contract after next season and based on what he's making and his production, he probably will. |

Rose is indeed a superstar. We finally have our post Jordan superstar. Just imagine once he finally gets that low post player.... I think the scarier thought is how good he'll be when he actually develops. Remember, he's still just barely a 20 year old kid. |

Yep, Ruffin cleared waivers and now he's back at practice (according to the Trib via ESPN Insider). |

I read somewhere on realgm that Ruffin was cut so we could give him a different one year deal without all the bells and whistles the original one had. |

Good deal for both teams. Nets are in rebuilding mode and Yi is a good guy to have alongside Harris. Milwaukee adds a vet, which they desperately need and they got rid of Bobby Simmons retarded contract. I think they're joining the "let's sign a superstar in 2010" club. |

I wouldn't be surprised if Luol was rockin flip flops but to me judging from this picture, I think it would be a safe thing to say that Tyrus is atleast 6'10. Look at him, he's easily a good 2 inches taller than Deng, and yes you can grow in your early twenties, my uncle was 5'9 when he was 16 and when he got into college he grew 4 inches so its different with all people. I think everyone had an uncle who got taller. I had an uncle who allegedly grew like 4-5 inches after a tour in Vietnam. Isidro, is that Lord Littlebrook in your avatar? |

Am I the only one that would love to see us add Brook Lopez? I was talking to a buddy of mine the other day and he thought I was an absolute nut for thinking that. He kept bringing up the name "Chris Mihm", completely different player in my opinion. |

Great point guards are the most important thing to have? Tell that to every team Phil Jackson coached to a title and while I like Tony Parker, is he great? |

Looks like Luol is getting his legs back, good to see. Noah is a friggin' MONSTER on the boards. 10 offensive rebounds!? |

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/basketball/...-bull24.article Yep, they're coming off the bench tonight, same lineup as the Nuggets game. |

Best game of the year by far. Haven't seen them play with that much fire in their belly since the Heat series last year. Only bad thing I can take away from all this is JR Smith lighting us up. It's still difficult to watch him play, when he has a good game of course. But yeah, I can't say a single bad thing about our boys tonight, hell of a performance. |

Never seen anyone so excited over beating a pretty bad team. I was happy with the result but the Pacers are garbage, especially without Tinsley and Jermaine O'Neal. Let the record show Hinrich was guarded for most of the night by Travis Diener. |

Do the deal if only to keep Ben out of a Bulls uni. I'd rather have an injured Shaq wearing a suit on the bench then a Ben Wallace in red, white and black playing 30 minutes and pulling down 6 rebounds. |

Well if he hadn't RUN from the cops, they probably would have just told him to zip up and be on his way. But that point is moot anyways... he could have gotten Uro-mysitisis poisoning! |

I didn't watch the game so if somebody could explain this to me I'd be grateful... Why exactly did Gray only play 10 minutes? He had 12 points and 4 boards in 10 minutes while Curry made Ben Wallace his beach. |

Indeed... and find a new coach. I don't care how much money Ben Wallace is getting, there's absolutely no excuse to him playing 30 minutes while pulling down 5 rebounds and 0 points. Give me a break. |

I'd give them a 3% chance of doing that. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce haven't been the healthiest of cats in their careers, one will go down eventually. |

Do you think he cried when they told him his season was over? Anywho, feel bad for him and the Bobcats, but he wasn't going to be getting a majority of minutes at the 2 or 3 so it's not a big loss I guess. |
