I really hope the Bulls lose at least 75% of their remaining games. This team needs a go to guy. Pax needs to package something ridiculous to Miami for Wade. And having a top 10 pick to go along with Hinrich, Noc, Thomas, Noah or whomever Miami wants can hopefully bring him back to Chicago.
I know its far-fetched but if Wade continues to have issues with Pat Riley he just may force a trade. And Paxson knows this is the offseason to FINALLY bring a true star, a leader, a go to guy to the Bulls.

Does Wade want to rebuild? I doubt that. Miami has a great chance to secure that #1 pick this summer. And if they can also get a #7 or 8 pick from the Bulls to go along with Ty Thomas and Larry Hughes and whomever else it will cost Pax I think there is a slim chance Pax can pull this off.

First, Wade is not available. Miami has 2 more years to get into contention before they have to worry about trading him. There's no way they're going to blowup that franchise at this moment. Especially with the opportunity to add a Beasley or Rose this offseason. They've got all sorts of cap space with Marions contract off the books, and he will not be signing with them again.

Second, we have no deal that would get us Wade. And the Heat do not have Wallace as their GM, so we cannot pull off a highway robbery like the Lakers did.

If Wade wanted to come here he could opt out of his contract in 2010.

I know its probably NOT going to happen. But if Riley and Wade continue to scuffle who knows...

Who the hell else is out there? This team needs a go to guy. Its quite obvious this team doesn't have one.

The Bulls def. have the pieces to go after one...the question is, who is left out there who fits your description? The only real star who looks to be stuck on a rebuilding team is Wade, and others have described why he's impractical. Who else is left?

We do? What pieces can we offer to go get a superstar, let alone one that's not available?

Aside from the upside potential of Tyrus Thomas and a C+ SG in Larry Hughes...we've got no value pieces. And until Wade flat out demands a trade...our package can't get anything.

A package of Tyrus/Noah + Hughes's contract + our draft pick this year is arguably more valuable than the price any team paid for any of the stars who have moved in the last year or two. You could make an argument on either the Garnett trade or the Kidd trade, but it's a very close run thing if you want to argue that.

Are you kidding? Minnesota got Al Jefferson, who's a 20/10 guy for the rest of his life. There's no comparison.

You're missing one key, key difference: Kidd, Garnett, Gasol, quietly Shaq, Marion, etc...all demanded trades. Teams sat on them and that lowered the value that teams got. Remember that 2 years ago the bulls offered Chandler, draft picks, and whoever else for Garnett and got turned down.

As it stands, right at this moment, we don't have the ammo because no star has demanded a trade.

I think a package of Gordon + Nocioni + Gooden could snatch us something; what, I don't know.
