Well it could be one of many things.. either

1) They don't think Beasley fits well with their system and think Tyrus does
2) They see potential issues with Beasley.. attitude and all.
3) They are trying to trick Riley into giving up more than just Beasley and Marion by downplaying Beasley

If that deal is on the table (Gooden, Simmons, Tyrus, Sefolosha) and PHX wants it, then fish Paxson and VDN forever if they don't take it.

With their roster, I really don't think they would. Not with the Lopez kid already sitting there.

If they actually like Hinrich I'd love to substitute Noah and Hinrich for Gooden and Tyrus there, but that all depends on how they like our roster.

Amare:

DA didn't say much other than that Amare will be moved.

Isola had the odd report: He said that his sources "inside the Knicks organization" have told him that they believe Amare has already been traded to an Eastern Conference team, but that it won't be announced until after the Allstar game so as not to mess things up with him being voted in as a West starter. His sources with the Knicks told him they believe the trade was with Miami or Chicago.

Sam Smith: He refutes Isola's sources and says that no trade has occurred. He went through a bunch of stuff about why the Bulls should or shouldn't do the trade. Here is his unique addition: He said the Suns have informed the Bulls that they have "a better offer from another Eastern Conference team" than what the Bulls are offering, but Sam doesn't know who the team is or what the offer is. He speculated this could be nothing more than a bargaining ploy.

Other Bulls Stuff: Smith said that regardless of what happens with Amare, the Bulls "will make a trade this month." He than said that he's certain that Hughes is on the move and that it is "very likely" that Nocioni will be traded as well. He was not stating these things as speculation.

Red Kerr: Smith said to be glued to the halftime show for Red because "it will be full of surprises that you've never seen before" - but wouldn't elaborate.

If the Bulls are going to make a play for Amare Stoudemire, they'll likely have to include Kirk Hinrich in any package.Steve Nash appears unhappy in Phoenix, and the Suns might need to replace him should he leave after next season. Because of that, the Suns would value a player like Hinrich.

Multiple league sources have confirmed that the Warriors have inquired about Amare Stoudemire and Chris Bosh, but they are unlikely to land either big man.

"We're doing our business," said assistant general manager Larry Riley. "Are we taking phone calls? Yes. Are we placing phone calls? Sure. We'll talk to people mainly to gauge what's going on out there, because it's that time of the year."

Two sources said on Monday that no serious talks or trade proposals had been exchanged between Golden State and the Suns or Raptors, and one source added that it appears likely the Warriors will not make a move before the trade deadline.
