Korver texting Brewer to join Bulls:
QUOTE Kyle Korver, who was introduced as the newest addition in Chicago on Tuesday, is trying to recruit Ronnie Brewer to join him. Korver was lured to the Bulls by former Jazz teammate Carlos Boozer. "[Boozer] reached out to me and we talked about it for sure," Korver said. "And I was texting Ronnie Brewer earlier, so we're trying to start the Chicago Jazz here. I don't know if you knew that." If the Magic match the offer sheet J.J. Redick signed with the Bulls, Chicago is expected to go after Brewer. Read more: http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives.../#ixzz0tgabKUcd |

Should have been the Bulls! http://www.nba.com/2010/news/07/14/bobcats...ls=iref:nbahpt2 The Bulls can't offer him anywhere near the amount of playing time that the Bobcats can; only DJ Augustin is a legit point guard on their roster. If he thinks that he's still got a career he can develop, then even taking less money in exchange for playing time would be a good move, esp. if he can spend some time with Larry Brown as his coach. |

I really want Brewer on this team. Every great team needs a defensive stopper and Brewer can be that guy. He can't hit the 3 with any consistency but he's elite at finishing around the basket and on the fast break and his mid range J is decent.

Good for him as far as the playing time goes and I do see your point but I think from a financial standpoint it was a move that we should have pursued. He still has that potential your talking about and even with limted minutes he could have fit in. Practising against Derrick would only make him better too. No use crying over spilt milk though... |

Sorta Bulls Related stuff.
QUOTE With or without an official deal for Jefferson, Shaquille O’Neal remains by far the biggest available name on the open market … with Tracy McGrady and Allen Iverson next in line on reputation. The Mavericks have abandoned the idea of a Shaq signing completely -- “He is out,” according to one team source -- since they have four centers currently on the roster until they can move the very available Alexis Ajinca. Atlanta, then, stands as the only team with a confirmed “live” interest in O’Neal. But Shaq, at last report, still wants assurances of a healthy slice of playing time as well as a salary that starts above the $5.8 million mid-level exception, which can be achieved through a sign-and-trade with Cleveland. No team out there, including Atlanta, is known to be willing to pay Shaq more than $2 million for next season.
• The Clippers do have legit interest in McGrady and are scheduled to work him out Tuesday. As Clips general manager Neil Olshey told ESPNLosAngeles.com’s Ramona Shelburne last week: "Tracy and I have a good relationship. We've known each other for a long time. He and Baron [Davis] have a good relationship [and] we obviously have a need for playmaking and scoring on the wings.” But sources say that news of the workout being made public was also intended to let the Bulls know that McGrady does have other options, since Chicago is where those close to McGrady say he’d love to land. |

I don't know about T-Mac. We certainly don't need him but he would be a nice playmaker to have off the bench. But adding him basically means you are drastically decreasing the minutes of some of the other guys like Watson and Korver. I just don't see where the minutes will be for him.

Even though we probably could use Delonte as a backup 2 because of his ability to play some defense and hit the 3, I doubt the Bulls want to mess with his bipolar-ness and crazy lunatic antics..
