Looks like JR's on his way to Denver, in what appears to be another salary dump. At least we get 2 2nd rounders out of it...
QUOTE Before Griffin’s signing becomes official, the Bulls will send shooting guard J.R. Smith to Denver for two future second-round draft picks and the nonguaranteed contract of point guard Howard Eisley, who will then be released. One potential delay is waiting for physicals to be completed in the trade with New Orleans. The Bulls acquired Smith from the Hornets, along with power forward P.J. Brown, in exchange for Tyson Chandler. They can’t unload Smith until that deal becomes official. http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/bulls.asp |

Maybe Pax will use these 2nd rounders as throw-in's in another deal for a big man like Gooden. J.R. Smith doesn't seem too popular around the NBA, otherwise his trade value would have been higher.

Yeah, that's what I have been thinking, and exactly the point I made in another thread about the JR trade. hey c'mon, im only 23! i just started my "real job" a couple months ago. it's quite the adjustment to going to bed between 11-12 instead of 2-4 every night. Didn't mean to imply that you're old, but I checked your birthday and figured you would probably have a full-time job, or at least be in grad school/med school. But, I'm kind of a little sad myself, knowing that in anywhere from 4-8 (depending on if I go to med school) years I'll have to be working full-time for the rest of my life. It's a little disheartening. |
