Wow. He does play alot like Paul Pierce. Their pullup jumpers look very similar and his hesitation move to the basket was beautiful! |

Bulls officially 0-2. Hopefully that doesn't carry over into the regular season.
JJ's 2nd games stats were not impressive. 16 points on 4-15 shooting, 0-4 from 3, 4 rebounds, six TO's, and 6 fouls. That's a pretty ugly line. Zoom was right. He needs to improve his consistency night to night. I wonder if he was tired from playing back to back games. We'll see b/c he has more of that to come. Taj tried hard for a triple double but came up 2 rebounds short. 12 points, 8 rebounds, 10 fouls. Wow. |

I wouldn't worry about Johnson's production too much yet, he's probably going to be the backup SF/PF all year. Hopefully he'll smooth out his game a bit towards the end of the year and make a major step some time next year.

Until the Summer League I didn't really know he was also an option as a backup SF/outside guy. That's a potentially good thing. |

Summer League Day 9
•The Bulls have a project in James Johnson. He's capable of moving the ball, looks like a competent defender, but I don't think he's realized what kind of offensive player he is, wants to be, or the Bulls want him to be. He's 12 for his last 43 shots from the field, though he's managed 24 free throw attempts over that span. |

Yeah he is going to be a project. Too inconsistent yet but I like the fact he's still filling up the stat sheet regardless. He's leading the team in ppg, defensive rpg, bpg, stpg, AND apg.

At least I'll have another guy to rant about how he's stuck on the bench in favor of the small lineup once Tyrus is traded or leaves as a FA next offseason. |

Sounds like a good kid... I like the fact that he said "yes, sir" at one point. Very respectful. |
