I don't know if I can really disagree with the list, but I will point out that in my head, very few of the folks ahead of Capt. Kirk fit the bill as a "traditional point guard", most of them are up there solely because of their scoring prowess. Kidd, Nash, maybe Paul, and Billups fit, AI, Parker, Arenas all seem up there because they score, and Bibby's somewhere in-between.
Oh, and on defense, I think Hinrich is probably the best of em all. |

God it's a shame how Tinsley's fallen. He would have used to have been in that just missed category.

Our Boy maybe 9th on their list...but he's tops on mine...K-Rich always comes ready to compete...and he's aces on defense...now with a little help he shouldn't have the tough assignments he's had.
Hinrich gonna be an all-star in this league for seasons to come....yes, I said it here. God it's a shame how Tinsley's fallen. He would have used to have been in that just missed category. Just curious Heads 22....where in Iowa????????? |

Oh, and on defense, I think Hinrich is probably the best of em all. He's not approaching Jason Kidd in the short term. While I love the guy, some of this stuff that I'm reading is wishful thinking at best. Kirk is not an elite on-the-ball defender like Jason Kidd, Jamaal Tinsley, Marcus Banks, Lindsey Hunter, etc. He'll make life rough for opposing PGs, but calling him a shut-down defender would be an insult to shut-down defenders. Don't overrate your own players, and don't underrate the other team's players. Try to find a middle ground. And I know you know this. I'm just sayin', in general. |
