My goo friend Steve told me about a rumor of a possible AK47 deal for Ben Wallace. So, I almost crapped my pants and had to look it up. I guess there are at least people writing about the two teams talking about the possibility. And while Wallace's contract is huge, AK47's is pretty damn big as well. Which is why I could see the Jazz being interested in such a deal. Come playoff time they could also use a big body to defend the 2 headed monsters on the Lakers & the 2 head monsters in Phoenix. While AK47 is overpaid and usually a 3, I think that he can play the 4 pretty effectively. I don't think it makes us a lock to make the finals or conference finals this year but I think it almost assures us of at least the 6th seed which means no Detroit or Boston in the first round. I really like AK's game and he's still fairly young. This also gives us the option to trade either Nocioni or Deng should a good deal come along or we could trade Ben Gordon if we think Deng can play the 2. If we didn't trade anyone, how would this lineup look? Can Deng play the 2? We'd be pretty tall and pretty damn good defensively with this lineup. Hinrich (27 years old)/Thabo (soon to be 24) Deng (soon to be 23 years old)/Gordon (soon to be 25) AK47 (27 years old)/Nocioni (28 years old) Tyrus (21 years old)/Smith (32 years old) Noah (soon to be 23) Anyway, if we can pull of a AK47 for Wallace deal I'd reconsider what I said about the Bull's being cheap and I'd rethink what kind of GM Paxson is. This trade would allow the Bulls to be a championship contender in the next 2-3 years or it would at least give them the flexibility to add the pieces to become a championship team. If Tyrus and Noah develop which all signs indicate that they are progressing in the right direction, this team could be very dangerous in the next couple of years. That's a team that I'd love to see. Anyway, I just noticed that the other thread had some AK47 talk already. Can we stop posting new topics in existing topics. If the topic was just called trades I could see posting all types of trades in it. But the topic was about NY not Utah. So stop posting unrelated topics inside of other topics. I just wasted 20 minutes of my life because of that exact reason. |

AK-47 a small forward?
Is that why everyone always talks about his jump shot and his ability to create a shot off the dribble? Nope. Everyone talks about him being on the trading block and unhappy because he's playing OUT OF POSITION in Utah. He's not a small forward. He's a power forward. Otherwise everything would be a-ok in Utah-land. His best attributes are his ability to dominate a game with blocks, steals, and boards and provide hustle points around the basket or in transition. He has a reliable jump shot, but he doesn't handle very well. He doesn't slash to the rim. If we could get him, he is immediately our starting pf. He's been an all-star as a full time pf...in the west! He led terrible Utah teams to the playoffs. We would also we THE BEST defensive team in the league next year: Hinrich Sef Deng AK47 Noah -------imagine the pick and roll defense as well as the turnover forcing creating tons of transition opportunities Bench: Gordon (he'll end up signing the 1 year tender, it just feels like a done deal right now) TT Noc Smith Gray I like. |
