We are the front runners for Pryz, but also are in the hunt for Nene from what I've read today. I would personally scarp the both of them for Big Ben, no matter what the cost...but if we get both at the same price as Big Ben, Pax would have done extremely well addressing the big man gap we have currently.

Barf on Big Ben and Pryz. Nene is okay, and would at the very least be a big/young body to clear up the lanes and play defense. Big Ben in a long term deal, in a mx contract, at his age, no matter how you chalk it up isnt smart. Pryz just isnt worth anything close to what he is supposedly asking for. |

I agree on Big Ben mostly due to what the Bulls will have to pay him, and I cant see him playing with Tyson. Pryz and Nene both bring something to the table though. Pryz brings defense and rebounding that the Bulls didn't get from anyone in the post last year (minus Tyson on occasion). The Bulls need bodies down low, failing the ability to obtain a legit back to the basket guy in a trade (and I'm not sold on Harrington as that guy). |

I would strongly prefer Pryzbilla over the other guys. The guy is a 7footer with size, who rebounds well and averaged over 2 blocks per game last year. He would be a good pickup. Granted, he stays healthy.

Mohammad and Nene are the only Centers available that actualyl have some kind of low post moves and provide a threat offensively.
At PF, you're looking at Harrington (who is really a SF) and Gooden. I don't know what Pax is looking at here but I do know that the Spurs are the actual front-runner for Pryzbilla. They are going to offer him so good money to replace Mohammad. Ben Wallace, while greatly improving our defense, serves no purpose unless we get a proven low post scorer. Sure, he'd sell tickets and he'd sell jerseys, but he doesn't really fill a need for us. If they could somehow find a way to get Wallace and Nene/Harrington/Gooden, then you've got something, but we would definitely have to deal Tyson. The only deal I see happening is for Jermaine O'Neal because he will cost considerably less than Garnett. I think Indiana would accept Thomas, Chandler, and a filler for O'Neal. Then, we could go out and get a Wallace or Pryzbilla, a defensive minded big guy at C. |

I'm sure adding Gooden would be good for the Bulls. He does have some low post scoring ability. And I'm sure would boost the chemistry with the team, since him and Hinrich were college teamates.

I think they will get two bigs. One will come from maybe a trade? I have a feeling Noc or Deng will be traded. Look at the glut at SF and PF. I do not think Sweets, Duhon, Allen, or the guy from Portland will get you anything without sweetening the pot with one of our core players. If you want a talented post player, we will have to give something up.
Maybe Nene, Gooden and Nazr. could be had for a combo. of the above players. Otherwise it might be something like Nazr and Lorezen Wright. Does anybody know about the free agent rules. I read on another board that you have to have 12 players under contract before you could obtain a free agent and go over the cap? Can someone explain this better? Do I have this wrong? Also, does the approx. 16 mil we have in cap space include the MLE? Can you use the MLE and any other cap money together in combo? Just want to understand the process better. Thanks |

But as for long term, then yes a trade for someone ideal would be nice.

In 2 years we are going to want to unload his contract |

I haven't been on since the draft (no computer at my dads house) and I heard on the radio today (was in the car a lot) and one of the ESPN guys said there is still a possibility of us moving Thomas and Chandler and whoever for Garnett. They also all were raving about our draft (as was Greg Anthony and Screaming A Smith on ESPN). Overall I'm pretty excited and have came to terms with TT. He's a very very good athlete and has the ability to be a superstar. I have my doubts as to how we'll use him, but Skiles is a good coach, Pax is a good GM and I'm sure they got a plan. |

In terms of Nene, was listening to ESPN Radio today and they had an interview with a Nuggets beat reporter who mentioned how almost every Nugget FA would be gone (also talked about how Carmelo is going to get a max extension and he'll agree to the terms on the 1st of July and than sign it the very first day he's eligible to do so). The gist was that Nene is the one guy the Nuggets are likely to bring back and this beat reporter seemed to think Nene would stick around. |

In order for Denver to keep Nene, they'd have to unload contracts. No one will take on Martin's $70 mill deal, with his knees. Camby also has a big contract. They may want to Nene, but getting rid of the contracts will be hard to do. The Bulls should make him an offer this weekend and IIRC, Denver will have 2 weeks to match. Getting rid of Camby and Martin in two weeks will be extremely hard |
