QUOTE (bulls91 @ Jul 3 2006, 07:33 PM) plus if tyson leaves that will leave us with more money but the contract of the tradee will decrease that a little bit does anyone know how much per year boozer is making. His original deal with the Jazz was a 6yr 68 million dollar contract which means just over 11 million per year. He would be entering the 3rd year of said deal. |

Idk about you guys but, IMO we should go after Al Harrington if we cant get KG. Harrington is the only guy in Free Agency that would comand a double team at times and would allow Ben Gordon and Kirk to go bananas from 3 or allow them to drive for 2.

You couldn't possibly have Wallace and Chandler together on the floor in the 4th quarter of a relatively close game. They would probably set the record for free throws missed in a quarter a few times over in a season. They are going to give Wallace Chandler's jersey number, because Tyson, he gone.

Unless we clear 8-12 million dollars in cap space, Hartington is a pipe dream. |

I think it's doable depending on the matchup. It's not a lineup you want out there often, but it's a great defensive duo. You'd have to have Hinrich, Gordon, and Nocioni out there with them because the teams' best scorers would need to compensate for the lack of frontcourt offense. Like I said, not something you want often, but I could see situations you'd want that. |

I hope to God, if we trade Tyson it's not for geriatric Brown. We could really use Tyson off the bench now for 30 minutes a game between 4 and 5. Seriously, Brown can't even jump to block shots anymore, and has lost more than a few steps, but still there are people who think he adds something to us. "Hey, but he's a leader," so freaking what, we have a coach who does that and Big Ben to keep the young guys in check now. Seriously PJ Brown scores 10 points a game, and his defensive skills have gone basement level. Tyson's offense thrived on having a big guy next to him, and other than his rookie season and the year he had chronic back troubles(when he had that big man), he was scoring at a good pace. Tyson can score 8-12 points a game with an actual big man next to him and take away a few shots with his defense, PJ can score 10 and play spiffy defense, but I guess when someone doesnt like someone they just dont like him. Ill put it simply, trading Tyson for spiff just get his contract off the books in a year we dont need to is straight up retarded.

Brown could give us 1 good year of service off the bench and then the Bulls could wash their hands of his salary and Tyson would be the Hornets problem. Sure Tyson is a better player than P.J. but the Bulls can't afford to pay 1/3 of their salary that will score them little points in Tyson and Wallace. This trade would also free up money for the next year of free agency and help in signing their current stars like Gordon and Deng to long deals. |

We dont have to clear his contract this year, we can afford to wait a season and see what happens... 1)He shows up and plays great, we go over the luxory to keep him and our other youth. 2)He shows up and plays great, his stock has gone up enough to get a legit player/pick for him. 3)He plays poorly, his stock stays where it is now, we get the same type of offers. You cant lose keeping him around for another year, we dont need to move his salary just yet, and right now we would be trading him for garbage. |
