Bulls get crushed by Cleveland on the road tonight. Tyrus Thomas is still sick and is not making the trip, and he was surprisingly effective last year as an occasional defender on King James.

I have no idea how the Bulls win this one. The only way I see them winning is if Salmons pulls a Ben Gordon out of his ass, Noah shuts down Shaq, and DRose is FINALLY back to his old self. Plus, Deng would have to have another good game, and Hinrich would have to defend the Cavs backcourt well enough to make up for Rose's inability to do so. That said, the Bulls do have speed on their side. Shaq is a snail compared to anyone on the Bulls, other than maybe Miller. I guess fastbreak is how they may manage to win or at least keep it close.

Tyrus Thomas has surprisingly joined his teammates in Cleveland and says he will try to play Thursday despite being down with the flu for the last two days.
Thomas didn't make the team flight due to his illness, but showed up on his own in hopes of contributing. "I'm doing alright. Just want to be there," Thomas said. Asked if he's going to play, he said, "Gonna try it." Given the fact that he flew to Cleveland, you have to think he'll play. The question then becomes, how many minutes will Vinny Del Negro give him? Nov. 5 - 2:40 pm et Source: Chicago Tribune |

Thomas still appears inactive according to the NBA.com rosters. Probably don't want him getting the rest of the team sick.

Tyrus just entered the game and promptly missed a short jumper.

Well, the NBA.com rosters lied to me.
Once again I'll ask, anyone know why our #1 draft pick isn't playing? Is he hurt? |

This game so far reminds me a lot of the game in Miami. The Bulls fighting, hanging in there, but just not giving a good feeling about the end...

It's nice to see Deng playing well to start the season. Were going to need his 17 and 7 all year long to contend! Once Rose gets fully healthy he should be a 20 and 7 player, and Noah is a double double machine.

This team is pretty confusing so far. It's hard to get a read on them when they don't play consistent offensively. That was probably expected to some extent without Ben, but the results are pretty damn good considering the schedule. How many would have the Bulls 3-2 after this 5 game stretch? 1-4 wouldn't have even been super disappointing.
