so im sure hyped tonight

Posted by: dasox24 Oct 28 2008, 06:00 PM

I am so excited about this game, mainly because I can't wait to start watching what Rose can do in a regular season game. I know he'll have ups and downs this season, but he's the best thing to happen to our team in a long time.

Posted by: CryptViLL Oct 28 2008, 06:02 PM

still cant believe we got first pick, very hard to believe since ive been living under a rock for a while. but ye rose should be something special

Posted by: dasox24 Oct 28 2008, 06:57 PM

I didn't think I was gonna get the game, but I'm getting it on some sort of additional NBA channel... So I'm pumped!

Bucks at home. Should win.

Why they wave off the oop?

Why they wave off the oop?

It was probably a make-up call b/c Tyrus dribbled off his foot. That should have been a backcourt violation anyway.

But, Rose looking good early.

Posted by: CryptViLL Oct 28 2008, 07:08 PM

that alley opp call was Bullshit, that was good

Pretty sure they called goaltending, though they're speculating it was a makeup for the no-call on the backcourt.

Posted by: ZoomSlowik Oct 28 2008, 07:09 PM

Um, yeah, that one wasn't a makeup...

If that's the case, had to be make up. Not even close to goaltending.

Posted by: Brian Oct 28 2008, 07:09 PM

Someone box Bogut out.

Posted by: jorgefabregas Oct 28 2008, 07:11 PM

I read that Chris Duhon was going to be the starting PG for the Knicks.

Box the F out.

Posted by: CryptViLL Oct 28 2008, 07:52 PM

good spiff rose to thomas opp

Posted by: CryptViLL Oct 28 2008, 07:58 PM

deng = great half

Posted by: Brian Oct 28 2008, 07:58 PM

Decent 1st half offensively. Gets slow with no Rose out there. It's nice to get to the line so much. We didn't do that at all last year. Just gotta knock em down consistently.

Gotta box out on defense.

Good job Tyrus so far.

Posted by: soxfan101 Oct 28 2008, 08:00 PM

We definitely need to improve on the defensive rebounding department, getting abused down there. Besides that, just some stupid turnovers on offense but overall not too bad of a start for the Bulls.

Posted by: CryptViLL Oct 28 2008, 08:12 PM

both teams struggled defensively

Not very good. They can score a bit but have numerous defenders that are average or worse, little depth, and below average PG play.

Well, there are few total pushovers out there and you never know if Redd/Jefferson get hot, but they're a team that good teams should beat with regularity.

Posted by: CryptViLL Oct 28 2008, 08:33 PM

hell yeah love all the fouls the bucks are getting

Vintage ben gordon for three

4 fouls on Jefferson and Bogut is BIG going into the 4th

Posted by: CryptViLL Oct 28 2008, 08:38 PM

im not a fan of noc, i think he's done

but so far - good game for the bulls, we should be able to close it out against these bucks.

Posted by: soxfan101 Oct 28 2008, 08:38 PM

Time to find out if we can close out games this season or not lol, it seemed everytime we had a lead last season we would blow it in the 4th.

Key point...got 41 minutes, only called for 3 fouls. Sure he was at home...but that's the key to getting those minutes.

Posted by: soxfan101 Oct 28 2008, 09:26 PM

I was surprised by some of the no calls on the refs today, maybe that no flop rule is being taken to heart. Also I guess the less defense you play the less you will foul too lol.

Posted by: chilord Oct 28 2008, 09:29 PM

Just an all around nice game. Great start to the season.

Bulls won or tied every quarter.

Posted by: dasox24 Oct 28 2008, 09:37 PM

Great way to start the season... The 2nd half was a treat to watch, as the 2nd quarter bored the hell out of me. The offense, and Derrick Rose, looked good.

Posted by: Chicago Bulls Franchise Oct 28 2008, 10:32 PM

Tyrus Thomas is the real deal now I think. He's so active on the boards, and getting to the line, I love it! Hopefully this continues throughout the season. 15 and 10 today is impressive. Keep it up Tyrus wink.gif

Offense did look good because our shots was falling.Let see what they do when they are not will they continue to chuck it up or will they be smart and feed it to the post to gooden or even gray since they are and average post player.

I was fortunate enough to attend this game with a few friends and my girlfriend and it was a beautiful thing. We were within shouting distance of the floor so I have to admit there was some heckling going on against the Bucks, lol. I booed everytime Jefferson got it and I swear I made Redd miss at least one free throw cheers.gif
Derrick Rose being announced as being "from Chicago" and not Memphis made the UC electric!!!! The kid played unselfish, got our team moving and del Negro seems to encourage a more up-tempo game out of our young guys which I like. Tyrus was impressive running the floor, crashing boards and what he brings defensively with steals and blocks is huge. The way he was working you can see flashes of what he did at LSU in his enthusiasm. I also love the fact that he is hitting his deep jumpers. This will confuse defenders on how to cover him, with speed and elevation he just needs to add a crossover to take his game to take it to the next level. Gordon was a sniper off the bench, Rose and Gordon are a nice 1-2 punch. Deng continues to impress me and showed that he is capable of scoring also. Play of the game was the Rose steal and dunk. A veteran move at such a young age, this kid is special! Believe that!!! Vinny's 1-0!!! Go Bulls!!!!

Very nice recap... You know, you mentioning being at the game made me realize that of all my favorite sports teams, I've been to home games for all of them except the Bulls. I've seen a game at Soldier Field, the Cell, Memorial Stadium (Illinois), but I've never seen a Bulls game at the United Center. I have seen them play, but it was in Memphis 7 years ago. Not exactly when we were winning games, lol...

Btw, did anyone else find the "Gordon heckler" kinda funny during the Bucks game? Maybe it's b/c I'm not much of a Ben Gordon fan, but I was thought it was pretty funny.
