Some people have been saying that it could happen if you re-add Rose, Wade, Bosh, and Howard.

That's hilarious. Let's take out Laettner and add Shaq or Hakeem. I'll roll with Hakeem since he was in the league. Replace Mullin with a healthy Nique.

PG: Magic/Stockton vs. Paul/Rose/Williams
SG: Jordan/Drexler vs. Kobe/Wade
SF : Bird/Pippen/Wilkins vs. James/Durant/Anthony
PF : Barkley/Malone vs. Bosh/Love
C : Robinson/Ewing/Olajuwon vs. Howard/Chandler

Point Guard: Magic can post up any of the three point guards. Stockton was a ball thief and great assist man. Paul and Rose can try to wear down Magic/Stockton enough for Williams to do some damage. I'd say a tie, due to the '12 depth and fresh legs.

Shooting Guard: In prime Jordan and Drexler vs. old Wade and Kobe. '92 wins by a mile.

Small Forward: Bird and Pippen have the best BBIQ in this group and Bird could still ball in his last season. Nique was a better player all-around than Anthony. Slight edge to '92 because James in his prime would beat Bird, Pippen is the unmovable object vs. Durant the unstoppable force, and Nique beats Anthony easily.

Power Forward: Barkley, although undersized, would dominate the glass when paired against Bosh. Throw in his thunderous athleticism and the fact that Bosh doesn't get physical, Barkley wins there. Malone could easily post up and defend Love. Advantage '92.

Center: Robinson takes Howard to school. Ewing draws Chandler from the basket. Hakeem can go in to decimate either one. Hakeem would probably start. '92 by a mile.

If you ran a line up of Magic-Jordan-Nique-Barkley-Hakeem, it'd be showtime. The current roster would be lost at what to do.

I'm not putting Olajuwon on that team.

PG goes to the 2012 team, Magic was old and Stockton was good but he won't stop Rose from scoring or Paul from running the show.

SG pretty easily goes to '92. Would have to say I'd be interested in what it would look like to have LeBron guarding Jordan, but then your 2 has to guard a three (I'd actually just play LeBron at the 2).

SF goes to '12. LeBron and Durant are IMO better than any '92 SF and you can actually play them both at the same time.

PF goes to '92 just because I don't know whether any of the '12 guys could hold their ground in the post.

C goes to '92 but something like fouls could easily sway it the other way. Dwight Howard would certainly be the best athlete of the group and depending on the style of game that could be immensely important.

'92 wins in all likelihood but I can see many of the games coming down to LeBron vs Jordan and that could mean that '12 would get some wins.
