OK, this is speculation, but speculation with a lot of heat.

Reports out of Phoenix say that Phoenix's workout on Tuesday with Joakim Noah, Corey Brewer and Jeff Green (and possibly Brandan Wright) has raised some eyebrows. How does a team with the No. 24 pick get guys like that in for workouts?

The huge rumor is that they have a deal in place for a top 10 pick. The Bulls have the #9 pick and Marion has already been rumored to be coming here.

I know its speculation, and I have ripped other posters for pulling deals out of their ass, but I think this has some legitimate plausibility to it.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

I personally love Marion, but I don't know if it'll be the bulls who get him, although not impossible. I just don't see how he fits in with us having Deng and even Tyrus off the bench. although hes a great athlete, where does he fit in with US? We have been ignoring that post player for too long, we have to make that our first priority IMO. for me, the ideal is Hawes and a good trade for someone who can score reliably.

Well, it's definitely 100% certain that PHX worked out Noah and Brewer (not sure about other 2, but I'm sure you're right). I started thinking about the same thing when I heard last night about PHX working out those top guys. I've heard some rumors about PHX trading Marion to the T'Wolves in a 3-way that lands the Lakers KG, but I don't see that happening at all. Why would PHX help the Lakers acquire a stud like KG to go next to Kobe? They wouldn't.

However, if that Boston, Minny, PHX 3-way has come back up (let's say Boston convinced KG to accept a trade), then I could see PHX somehow ending up with Boston's or Minny's pick while trading Marion to Minny, and the Celtics getting KG. Obviously, more players would be involved (PHX would have to get back a lot for giving up Marion), but that would be the jist of it.
