I think this is the dumbest thing in sports.. You sign a contract, you play for the team. Sack up and stop whining to go to a contender. Everyone in the NBA wants to win the championship every year. Alot of players are good enough to deserve it. Doesn't mean you can demand a trade and get to go wherever you friggin feel like

after the broadcast everyone was saying that rose and durant had good chemistry and i think that was pretty evident on the court. rose should be starting over billups i hope.

and this will be the lasting highlight of that game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iH2WtjFCyvc

QUOTE (Balta1701-B @ Aug 19 2010, 03:00 PM) *
This was a really good read on the offensive setup and defensive response to the high-post pick and roll play, with a lot of talk about both VDN, Thibodeau, and some of our off defenders.

Thanks for posting that.

I remember someone on here ripping on VDN for calling those plays because Rose "should be able to beat his man on his own"

Chandler, Durant, Iguodala, Billups, and Rondo started.

Everyone but westbrook and kevin love got 15-20 minutes so im not sure if its really a big deal that rose wasn't out there first. but if the coaches like chauncey that much, i think rose may be stuck playing the 2 most of the time.

westbrook is probably gonna be cut, and with Eric Gordon being a pure shooter, that leaves Curry, Billups, Rose, and Rondo to fight for PG and starting SG minutes

Bulls, Bucks and Hawks lead the league with 23 back to backs...I'm a little upset at this considering the Bullies led the league in back to backs last year as well.

the only silver lining i could find in that is that the bulls are near the bottom in road back to backs... also second-most games with 2 days rest

but that should be a great opening game... DRose v KD in primetime

the 7 and 8 seeds may be so bad this year that we have to forfeit them to the west lol

i mean detroit, philly, indy are gonna be god awful but could all have a shot if they stay anywhere near .500

Even though we probably could use Delonte as a backup 2 because of his ability to play some defense and hit the 3, I doubt the Bulls want to mess with his bipolar-ness and crazy lunatic antics..

and if the rumors are true, he could be the heat's kryptonite

i think if/when KG or Pierce get injured that could shake things up depending on how long they are out, but i think with the level of competition increasing in the east theyll take less nights off. i'm not confident enough in the bulls yet to put them as a 3 seed, hopefully that changes after watching them play

i'm not sure how atlanta will do this year with a new coach and mike bibby getting more and more worthless

the only surprise candidate i see this year is the wiz. a backcourt of gilbert, kirk, and john wall is pretty good and i like andray blatche

this sounds too risky. t-mac had basically 8 years of being 'the man' with orlando and houston. the bulls are rose's team and he needs to accept that if he wants to play here

That IS his strength. Standing around and hitting mid range jumpers. He can't really create his own shot consistently. He doesn't take it to the rim often. I don't know if I've ever even seen him pump fake. He can't hit the 3 consistently.

sorry i meant the three point line

it seemed like vinny always had him standing in the corners, too far out for him to take advantage of anyone.

I think deng is going to have a big year no matter what offense we run. i forget where i saw it but thibodeau said he's going to actually use dengs strengths in the offense instead of having him stand around the perimeter

this would be big. he definately wouldnt rot at the end of the bench here. we'd have a legit backup at every position now

im not sure what we could offer besides JJ and draft picks

I think the Bulls need to think about this for a minute. How many teams are successful with an 10-11 man rotation? Skiles always did it with us and it failed miserably because we never had any chemistry. We don't need anymore guys that expect minutes. After Kurt Thomas, the rest of the guys need to be bench scrubs or NBDL talent. We are perfectly fine with our current roster and rotation now, we don't need Tracy McGrady.

we need young guys that can hopefully learn in practice and hopefully contribute in the future

It has nothing to do with recruiting and everything to do with him understanding his status as a budding superstar in the NBA. It looks goofy for someone to come out and say that. Ya, I know he's 21, but seriously. It's just weird. I want my leader to try and be better than all of his favorites. Not be wowed by the possibility of playing with them.

Just cause he grew up watching mcgrady doesn't mean that he doesn't want to be better than him, or is suddently going to stop being a leader of the team
