NBA all-defensive team:
Player Team
Tim Duncan Spurs
Bruce Bowen Spurs
Marcus Camby Nuggets
Kobe Bryant Lakers
Raja Bell Suns

NBA all defensive 2nd team:
Ben Wallace Bulls
Kirk Hinrich Bulls
Jason Kidd Nets
Tayshaun Prince Detroit
Kevin Garnett T-Wolves

Someone want to tell me how Kobe Bryant makes the all-defensive team?

Interesting. Nice to see the Bulls get some love. Is it me or does the second team look like a better defensive unit than the first?

Your right.

Kobe is not good, Bowen is overrated, Duncan is just tall, and I didn't know that the Suns played defense. The only legit one on that list is Camby.

For the 2nd team, Wallace, Hinrich, and Prince are the real legit picks. Garnett is overrated (tall), and Kidd is slow.

Kobe can play defense but he doesnt.... following guys shouldnt be on either list: Duncan, Bryant, and Kidd. I know the Suns use Bell on Kobe but not sure if he should be on their either.

very good job done by Kirk and Ben. HOpefully kirk gets some 1st team consideration next season.

It's the NBA west-coast bias, same as the MLB east-coast bias. The entire 1st team is from the west, and everyone 2nd team is from the east sans Garnett, but Minnesota is really in the east.

Kirk is a better defender than both Kobe and Raja, screw Job! O well, atleast he made it and Dwyane Wade didn't HAHA

I think the picks are pretty solid... IMO, Duncans D is a little bit underrated... The guy does a lot for that good San Antonio D, which gave up the fewest points in the league.

Also, from what ive seen, Jkidd is still a very solid defender... Maybe not quite as fast as before, but still a very good one. i remember how he was giving Ben Gordon tons of trouble last time we faced the Nets.

if these teams played head to head, 2nd team would win EASILY.

I agree with Bowen, Camby and Duncan. That Spurs D is tough. I'm not sure about Raja and Kobe though. Its great to see to see two Bulls up there though.

I don't think KG is overrated. The guy is a beast down there (always in the top in the NBA in rbs, blks, etc.) Plus he can guard smaller quicker guys further away from the basket.

I'd cream my pants if he was in a Bulls uniform.

^^^ Depending on who we gave up, this would be a 60-65 win team.
