Would he be a solid option coming off the bench in Chicago? |

If he's Healthy, i will take him for low money... He's a good passer, pretty good D, and brings in veteran leadership, something we need. But the question is is his body ready to go for 82 games? Probably not, but ill take him if he plays around 60+ games... and hopefully he misses those games early in the season

Yep, something w/ his legs... I just read the article. It looks like he's been trying to get in shape and play another year and is feeling pretty good right now. I wouldnt mind having him for a year... maybe 2.

If management could be convinced that he'd stay healthy, and he gets a contract along the lines of a person who hasn't been able to stay healthy, sure why not.

I would love signing Doug Christie. One of the better defenders in the NBA and is a great passer. Wouldn't mind seeing his wife every night either.

QUOTE (The Gladiator @ Jun 1 2006, 01:47 PM) What ever happened to him anyways? Injury? I'm pretty sure it was his ankle. I dunno, if he doesn't command too much bread and doesn't "need his minutes", I wouldn't have a problem. But he has to be healthy as well. No use in signing him to cover Kobe and LeBron if he isn't back to full strength. |

True
a defensive player who has lost strength, quickness, and durability is no player at all |

That pretty much mirrors what I was thinking... The guy is a solid shooter and a great defender, as long as he isn't too expensive he will fill a legtimate need for the Bulls. |
