Knicks GM, Donnie Walsh, has indicated that a star player is on the block. His quotes are pretty good in this article and indicated how shocked he was that such player is available. No report on who the player is. My question is who is this player and can the Bulls put together a package to get him (they have expiring contracts, young players with upside, and a serious need to get "a star player". My best guesses would be guys like Carmelo, Chris Bosh, Elton Brand (wouldn't make a ton of sense since he's been rumored already), Wade (maybe the Heat finally have announced they are serious about moving him), Steve Nash (would Phoenix go into a rebuilding mode?). |

I'd have to say the most likely are Wade and 'Melo given the rumors about them, even though both teams have strongly denied trading them. I just couldn't even begin to guess if it's some other superstar. Actually, Dirk's not a bad guess by CBF. They haven't won with him after all these years; they may look to change things up.

Dirk could be an interesting name. It could very well be Dwayne Wade now that there are these reports of multiple GM's calling Chad Ford saying something about Wade and the Bulls.

NO one would be shocked that the Knicks stars were on the chopping block. I think Dirk might be a good lead, especially with all of the Wade rumors already floating around. Maybe a Yao Ming is another surprise? He has been injured a lot, Houston might want a stable star.

With his reaction, the way he said it, my thoughts kind of point toward Lebron... he's the only guy out there I'd think would net that type of reaction, but Cleveland would be nuts.

I wouldn't go THAT far. I'd think you'd get a similar reaction for guys like Paul, Howard, Williams, Duncan, maybe Chris Bosh, and possibly one or two more that I'm missing. None of them are going anywhere though. |

According to another poster
QUOTE Waddle (or Silvy, whichever is which) said on ESPN 1000 that Chad Ford told him that 3 General Managers have told him that they think Wade to Bulls will probably get done.
Due to another board, they are talking about this on the radio in New York too. They said they would talk about it more in a little while (taking to some guy about whether Bulls should go Rose or Beasley right now). |

According to another poster As long as it doesn't include the #1...that's fine with me. Bulls MUST get Rose! Hell...even if I had to include next year's #1 with some combination...that's fine with me. On a side note...I think many will be disappointed that these things won't get done tonight. |
