I'm just glad to see the NBA back... and on-time this year. This is an interesting year for me. We have no shot at actually winning a title, so I'm more hoping for the continued development of some of the young guys.

I like this. He was essentially a player coach anyway.

If he's angry at the Spanish Basketball Federation could that possibly mean he'll wanna come play in the US sooner??? If we cant work out a deal with Taj and or Boozer gets amnestied next year it'd be nice to have him on the roster.

If we have any bilingual people on board heres the full article http://kosarka.si/bo-nikola-mirotic-obrnil...l-za-crno-goro/ ...report back if theres any other news in the report.

PS...I was gonna post this in the Mirotic thread but for whatever reason I can't go back to previous pages.

There's a filter on the bottom right of the page that allows you to search for posts. The default is anything from the last 30 days. You can set it to 60 days, 90 days, etc. Then, you'll be able to see other pages of threads.

Yeah, he might as well have the surgery. This season is a lost-cause, so I'd rather him just get it fixed.

Can't help but feel like we're being cheap on this one, especially when we are one of the most profitable teams in the Association.

I check back usually several times a day.

The problem is...there is literally nothing new happening right now. Deng shot 35% from the field for team Great Britain and they're out. The Bulls haven't even signed Teague yet.

Yeah, it's pretty tough right now. I check at least twice/day, but I have nothing worthy to add myself.

Looks like this is official now.

Also, per KC Johnson, the Bulls may sign Tracy McGrady now. Are we trying to recreate the 2011-2012 Atlanta Hawks bench? Hinrich, Radmonovic, TMac...

Don't like this. How many PG's do we need? I want Teague getting as much playing time as possible.

Wow, what a great story. Powe has had some really bad luck with injuries in his career. It's impressive that he keeps coming back.

I'd be ecstatic about Gerald Green in comparison to a lot of re-tread names we have been hearing.

At least he could this this every once in a while: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOzo4pHTZ-M

Good lord. That's ridiculously impressive to do an alley-oop windmill during a game.

With Asik pretty much gone (unless Gar-Pax gets super creative), with Dengs wrist injury and Rose pretty much out for the season, a part of me wishes that the Bulls will miss the playoffs and enter next years draft lottery. Now I know Thibs will not allow this but next years NBA draft pool is projected to be very deep. Also, after this season cant the Bulls buy out Boozers deal to provide even more cap space?

I say lets shoot big for the 2013-14 season. The only thing worth watching for this season is the development of Teague.

I kind of feel the same way. I mean, I don't want to necessarily shoot for the lottery... but this season is a lost cause. Like you said, I'm more interested in the development of Teague and even Butler. We already know what we're getting with everyone else.

Willie Green would be a pretty solid rotational player. Since he played for Atlanta last year, I saw him numerous times and he hits the 3 ball pretty well. Very average player that doesn't do anything great, but he'd be a solid replacement to the Bench Mob if we end up losing CJ, Korver, etc.

Bulls' talks with Hinrich have focused on vet's minimum of $1.2 million or slightly higher. With 8 teams in mix, doubt that gets it done.

Yeah, doesn't look like he'll end up coming back here, which is more than okay with me. I always liked Kirk, but I don't want him back.

In case anyone's curious about the random cap rule that forced the Rockets to structure the deal like this, here you go:

That's actually really helpful. Thanks.

Technically it was that 2008-2009 season that had me wanting a PG in the draft...and then we hit the #1 pick. He was ok with washington and has been both performing worse and getting hurt more since being traded to Atlanta.

Yeah, Hinrich has been pretty bad in Atlanta. I've seen him play a few times (the rare times he's healthy) and he just didn't look the same. He has fallen way off since that one really good year he had for us ('06-'07).

Also, this pick fits the Bulls' M.O. perfectly of selecting players from a championship team and a big-time program.

Even though I really like Teague as a player, I didn't like the pick on first reaction b/c I felt like they're overreacting to Rose being hurt. But, I guess I'm liking it better now.

Guess the Bulls like something about Calipari-coached PGs...

Ha, the color matches your avatar!

I'll go more "what they wear on the court" vs "what the logo color looks like.

Tomorrow, that is, as the file for the logo is on my work pc.

Haha, I didn't even realize that.

It looks like that logo, but that logo also looks like a completely different shade of red than the red in the pictures of all the Chicago Bulls players' jerseys

Same here... Steve, I like what you're doing but the color seems off to me too. Might want to change it back.

I like the area as well, and the Forum is a really great addition to an all too empty downtown. Since Chicago was my main exposure to a city before moving down here, I can certainly say that the Forum beats the UC as far as the area outside the stadium goes. Beale is great being right outside there, really adds to the buzz and the two feed off each other during the season. But beyond that it's eerie at times walking around on Main, etc and not seeing anyone or seeing all the empty storefronts. There is some really good infrastructure there and I hope it gets developed because the city needs it. I've watched games/played at AutoZone and it's a nice place as well. From what I hear though, like you said, this area has come a long way and there is still probably a good portion of the populace that remembers the dangerous downtown too well to really want to go there and invest there.

Since I am a tour guide at Rhodes, I can recite the completely unverified information on my part that the Beale/Forum zip code is the "safest" in the state and of course the Rhodes area code is the second safest in the metro area (do you like the subtle and arbitrary switch from statewide statistic to a local statistic? I'm well trained).

Haha, I do like that. Very nice.

And yes, the city itself has a ton of potential. They have come a long way, but it still has it's issues. AutoZone Park is a fantastic minor league stadium and I love the downtown atmosphere of the park. Really, building AutoZone was huge in beginning the resurgence of downtown. Before that it was pretty bad.

I love how cheap games are there. I think we've been back and forth about this before but I go to Rhodes and that usually gets me about 5 free games a year as well biggrin.gif

Yep, I remember.

And yeah, tickets are really reasonable. I really like the Forum as a venue and it's great being so close to Beale St. On a side note, I'm not sure if you know this, but interesting fact: The zip code that the FedEx Forum is technically located in was the poorest zip code in the nation about 10 years ago. With the arena and other downtown revitalization, they've come along way in improving that.

I don't know what the problem was but the video shows up now, I just had to edit his post and turn the HTML on in the post. It was already allowed in the forum.

That's weird. I did the exact same thing but there was just a large blank space (where the video should have been) when I tried to edit the post, so I just changed it back. Glad to see it's working now.

Well as a (sort of) Memphis fan, I can tell you that for every Marc Gasol we win on, there's always a Hasheem Thabeet rolleyes.gif

Oh, I know that all too well. Once the Grizz moved to Memphis, I adopted them as my 2nd team since I'm from there and would go to a few games each season.
