I just heard this as well.

I think it's GOT to be related to the Amare deal. Pax wanted to do it, Jerry wouldn't let him, and he got fed up with being cockblocked.

I suspect he got fired and Jerry gave him the opportunity to resign on his own terms.

I don't know if I believe it. This is horrible news for the Amar'e deal. I'm betting you guys are right, he wanted to do the deal, Reinsdorf blocked it and he said "F it". He's aged 15 years in 5 years, look at him! I feel bad for him. If he's going to resign I hope he goes down swinging!

Anyway, Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf is shooting down the Paxson report in the New York Post, calling it "not credible." The Post also had the item on Kerr.

Have to sort of agree with Rosie after some thought on this. Hard to believe. What kind of a chicken sh*t (Pardon my French) move would it be to make key decisions of the sort that will define the Bulls for the next several years (i.e. whether or not to do an Amare trade, whether to hold on to TT and Noah, whether to try to dump Hinrich or Noc or Hughes to improve our cap situation) and then immediately resign so that you bear no responsibility for seeing how things go through?

This is anything but confirmed. I'm not buying that it's true, but obviously, won't be surprised if it is.

That said, are you guys blaming this poor team on Paxon, Del Negro, the players or a combination of any or all?

I think all of the above is the best answer. You can throw Reinsdorf in there too for meddling a bit.

Obviously it's a combination, but I really think the key flaw the last 2 seasons has been at the coaching spot. You can blame that on the coaches themselves or on the guy doing the hiring, but what a disaster the coaching staff has been.
