What a load of crap. Kobe gets a BS suspension and because of it the Knicks beat a Kobe-less Laker team.

it's over for this one. because Isiah has a better idea than Larry Brown of how to coach 15 shoot-first point guards, the Knicks are hovering around .400...which likely won't get their pick into the top two. no Oden, no Durant...I hate life.

Yup, Paxson needs to trade the pick before it loses any worth is currently has. The Knicks look like they're gonna win anywhere from 35-41 games. Virtually no chance at landing a top 2 pick. |

The good news? In this draft, even if we hold the pick, due to how deep it is, a top 10 pick is probably just about as valuable as a top 5 pick was last year. |

A mid-level pick in this draft has to fetch something... would Sacramento ever consider trading Brad Miller?

Yeah it looks like the Knicks will have a pick between 8-11. Now I thought the Bulls can take this one or next years, is that still the case? If so I assume the Knicks will improve next year.
I guess they can package it with one of the 2nd Rounders from Denver to make the deal sweeter. I just can't believe how much better they played after that fight. They were a top 3 pick guaranteed before it and now they are beating teams they shouldn't be. |

Sacramento 22 27
New York 22 29 Portland 22 30 Atlanta 20 30 Milwaukee 19 32 Seattle 19 32 Charlotte 18 33 Philly 17 35 Memphis 13 39 Knicks are currently the 8th worst team. But things are starting to look more promising for the Bulls. Atlanta and Portland have been playing better. (both winning 2 in a row). Milwaukee getting Redd back and Seattle getting Lewis back should make those teams way better. As it stands the Knicks are only 3 games ahead of Milwaukee and Seattle. The Knicks could drop down to the 4th worst team with a bad week or 2 after the all-star break. Then all we need is a little luck and we could get a top 2 pick. Hopefully things play out that way and we get Durant. I still worried that NJ is going to ruin our parade and make our pick worse by having a free for all sale where they deal Kidd/Carter for draft picks. They would be a horrible team if they did that. |

The Knicks are not going to have a worse record than Boston-Memphis-Philly. Just not going to happen, so a Top 2 pick is out the window, unless we get incredibly lucky.

The Knicks are not going to have a worse record than Boston-Memphis-Philly. Just not going to happen, so a Top 2 pick is out the window, unless we get incredibly lucky. How do you think San Antonio got Duncan a few decade or so ago? The Knicks w/ Ewing? The NBA has a lottery so that teams don't try and cash the season in and lose every game. If the Knicks are the 4th worst team, then the Bulls have a good shot at a top 2 pick. In 2004 here were the odds Orlando 21-61 250 25.00% 21.55% 17.85% Chicago 23-59 200 20.00% 18.91% 17.22% Washington 25-57 157 15.70% 15.80% 15.66% L.A. Clippers 28-54 105 10.50% 11.31% 12.22% Atlanta 28-54 104 10.40% 11.22% 12.14% Phoenix 29-53 64 6.40% 7.20% 8.23% Toronto 33-49 37 3.70% 4.28% 5.05% Philadelphia 33-49 36 2.90% 3.37% 4.02% Cleveland 35-47 18 1.80% 4.17% 4.93% Golden State 37-45 9 0.90% 1.07% 1.30% Seattle 37-45 9 0.90% 1.07% 1.30% Portland 41-41 6 0.60% 0.71% 0.87% Utah 42-40 5 0.50% 0.59% 0.73% So with the 4th worst record the Bulls would have a 10.5% chance of getting the #1, 11.31% chance of getting #2, 12.22% chance of getting number 3. Even at # 5 the Bulls still have similar chances of getting the 1/2/3. In 2005 the Bucks got the 1st pick after finishing with the 6th worst record. So it is not out of the question that the Bulls will get a 1 or 2 even if the knicks finish 4-6th. I believe 1-5 is picked via the lottery and the rest of the picks go by record after that. |

Dont forgot how the Wizards got us in the lottery when the took Kwame. There was a picture in ESPN the magazine of MJ crossing off Buls lottery balls and writing wizards on them.
