Kaman would be an amazing fit, we desperately need some frontcourt muscle. We can't really deal Deng because of BYC status and I believe Gordon would be hard to do as well because IIRC he'd need to waive his bird rights, but anyone else not named Rose should be available in a heartbeat. Steve mentioned it a while ago, if you offered them Gooden, Tyrus and Nocioni for Kaman and Mobley it could probably get done. They pick up a young athletic big and a useful forward as well as 6 mil off the cap at the end of the year.

Kaman would solve alot of our problems, but not all of them.

Kaman would be a nice addition. I'd rather not give up Tyrus seems hes starting to come around. Noah can go in a heartbeat though he just doesn't seem to care.

I looovvvve Kaman. I love that he is a caveman looking albino. But what I love the most is how dominant he was last year with no one else on the Clippers getting boards or points downlow. I seem to recall MANY double-doubles. Even some 20-20 games. That said, I would definitely give up Gooden+Tyrus/Noah for him. I like Tyrus a lot, cause his potential is so incredibly high, but he has not shown what he can do. Hopefully he doesn't do what TC did to us.

If we got Kaman I'd want to keep Noah and play him at the 4. Kaman would be our scoring big and Noah could do all the little things defensively and on the offensive glass. I think Noah would be much more effective in that situation (like he was with Horford in college).

I love Tyrus but at some point we have to cut him lose if a team is willing to trade away legit starting big man. As for Gooden I could care less if he goes.

Might as well bump this now that a trade seems more likely. They just acquired Zach Randolph and their frontcourt looks awfully crowded with Camby, Kaman and Randolph. I have to think one of them is getting traded, and since they just acquired Randolph and Camby doesn't have as much value given his age, Kaman may be the odd man out. It doesn't make any sense to me considering he's younger, cheaper and good, but it is the Clippers we're talking about. I'm not sure what kind of package we can offer that would actually work though, we don't have all that many really attractive pieces. It doesn't seem that Hughes' contract appeals to them considering they just traded two dead-weight type contracts that expire in 2010. Our best hope is that they really like Hinrich or Nocioni (though they don't really need either of them), or that they're selling low and will take Gooden, Tyrus or Noah and a lottery protected first or something like that. He'd be an amazing fit, but I'm not getting my hopes up. That's especially true considering Charlotte probably offered them Gerald Wallace in the discussion mentioned above that got rejected, and he's better than anything we can offer at the moment (as I mentioned earlier, Deng and Gordon would be difficult, maybe impossible to move).

I would even give them all three of our recent draft picks (excluding Rose of course) meaning, Tyrus, Thabo, and Joakim.. The one trade that's been thrown around quite a bit is Gooden and Tyrus or Noah.
