If we get matched up with the Magic and if Turk is out we will have a much easier time winning that series. Dwight is a beast but as CBF said we just have to contain him as best we can.
Maybe put the three headed monster of Noah/Gray/Miller (assuming all three make the playoff roster) on him to keep Dwight on his toes and we utilize all our fouls and make it harder for him to get his points. Tyrus can play some help defense and maybe pick up a block or two. Talking with friends the last couple of weeks about potential playoff matchups I was leaning towards Orlando but wary of Turk as he has always played well against us recently and can be the game changer with a combo of outside shooting and driving to the basket for and-1 plays. Here's a little snippet from an article about Turk's role on the Magic and his ability to get the job done in the fourth quarter for them - Hedo still hero for Magic in 4th quarter Turkoglu, who can opt out of his contract after the season and become a free agent, can bring some compelling evidence to the negotiating table. Turkoglu led the Magic in fourth-quarter scoring last season and is the leader again heading into Saturday's game. He had scored 380 of his 1,273 points in the final period. Lewis is second with 349 fourth-quarter points and Howard has 297. "Hedo is our hero," Howard said. "We look for him to take us home in the fourth quarter. For three quarters, we pave the way and then Hedo walks down that path and takes us home." http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/bask...,0,886676.story The outside threat is always concerning because they tend to light us up from beyond the arc. Rashard Lewis, JJ Redick, Turkoglu, Michael Pietrus and Rafer Alston all pose 3-point scoring threats for them if they can distribute the ball along the perimeter. If our guards can limit their passing with some hard nosed, hand in the lane, deny defense we can get steals and also make them force up bad shots to eliminate this threat. I just read that Turk should be ready for the playoffs and that the injury was only a minor sprain. This is not going to be as easy as I thought but I still believe. Go Bulls!!!! |

If Rose keeps playing at a level where he can put up 20+ points a game I think I will take our chances

If Rose keeps playing at a level where he can put up 20+ points a game I think I will take our chances It really reminds me of the 03-04 Miami Heat when Wade was a rookie. He started tearing it up in his final games to lead the Heat into the playoffs and Ironically they were 42-40 and ended up winning the first round of the playoffs. I see alot of the 03-04 Heat in this years Bulls in particular DRose compared to DWade. |

Last time we played them didn't we manage to get Howard in some foul trouble early? More to the point, don't the Bulls have plenty of fouls to use on Howard? He's Shaq-like in a lot of ways, including at the free-throw line. In close games, this could be an advantage. |

A full one game lead. Good luck with Cleveland, Sixers. Not.
But the Bulls' destiny is in their own hands now, and with the game at the UC I like dem odds! GO BULLS! |
