I have to laugh, because a reporter supposedly asked Shaq about his awful free throw percentage during this series, and he reported told the reporter that "He makes them when they matter". Superman might want to take some notes from the guy who is 6 inches shorter, about 100 pounds less, and just owned his ass for an entire series.

I think that rule is complete BS. There is no way a team should be able to just foul a player continuously off the ball regardless what time is on the clock.

I thought there was a rule about purposely committing fouls. It should only be allowed once, then it should be considered a flagrant. That is not basketball IMO. Ben Wallace running around picks to get away from a player chasing him is just ridiculous.

I would have been so pissed if that actually caused us to lose.

My problem with this going forward is are teams going to do this every game around 3:00 left when the Bulls are up by 5-6?

Hypothetically, a team could start doing this at about the 6:00 minute mark bringing their scrubs in to get the foul and they would take the ball out of the Bulls hands every possession for the rest of the game.

I don't like it either, but that's the cost of having the worst free throw shooter ever on your team. Hopefully, he keeps making it but I had no problem with the rule when teams tried the Hack-a-Shaq.

The difference was Shaq had the ball. They only fouled when he was shooting or had the ball. Now I can see that. Their options were allow Shaq to dunk over you for 2 or foul him and hope for 1 or 0. They didn't do it when he was off the ball in the back court away from the ball.

I'm pretty sure they did foul him off the ball.

Not the Bulls. We never went into the Hack-a-Shaq mode in this series. Teams in the past did, especially when he was with the Lakers, but I can't recall the Bulls doing so in the 4 games.

I thought he meant in a past tense. The Bulls didn't do it but teams have done it to Shaq for years.

Well, in my opinion, BW has already started to prove his worth.
