Why not just swap expiring contracts of PJ and Maglore? Maglore doesn't do anyting in portland so why not try and get him? I remember Maglore averaging 18 and 8 one year with the hornets.
Thoughts? |

I dont see the relevance of this trade. It doesnt solve any of our problems and loses us two bargaining chips for other potential trades.

Magloire was once a solid player but right now I'll take PJ Brown. Brown is not only the better player, despite being old, but he's also a superior leader.
IF we are going to move PJ Brown, we need to make sure we are getting a far better big back. For example if there was a way to acquire Collison or Wilcox or Gasol or someone in that range than I would be all over it. Unfortunately Collison has blown up as of late and there is no way Seattle gets rid of him (at least I would be surprised if they did, considering he's still very young and him and Wilcox give them a solid line). |

I'd love to swing a deal with Seattle for one of their big men, Wilcox especially. We blew that opportunity over the off-season when we could have made a major push to work out a sign and trade. I'd be real surprised to see Wilcox or Collison dealt right now and its too bad because at one point in time we probably could have landed either one of them. |

Long as were mentioning the Sonics...I take it Gordon for Ray-Ray is not much thought of by the board...however Ray Allen is one of the best...curious what everyone has to say 'bout this???
(We all know BG isn't going anywhere before the posts get crazy) |

Wow, if we could get that, i'd Love that.
Hm. Veteran, clutch (i believe ray allens clutch?), great player. Is he better defensively over bg? |

(We all know BG isn't going anywhere before the posts get crazy) Legitimately I don't think the Sonics make that deal. I'd be a fan of that deal but I still think it leaves the Bulls with a major hole (low post scorer) and continues to prevent us from making the championship. No doubt it would upgrade the team, but financially it would make us more expensive and I don't think it would put the squad over the top (unless of course we are able to work out a bigger trade that nets us one of Wilcox/Collison as well). |

He would be a huge upgrade, and he is also 6'5. BUT, do we pull the trigger for someone who will be turn 32 in july while Ben turns 24 in April. I just did this trade on trade machine and it worked, give me some opinions on this. Chicago Sends Pj Brown Mike Sweetney Thabo Sefolosha (we could substitute our 2008 or 2009 first rounder instead) Ben Gordon Seattle Sends Chris Wilcox Ray Allen This gives us a lineup of deng/ noc / khryapa wilcox / noc / thomas wallace / wilcox / allen allen / griffin / (sefolosha if we trade draft pick instead) hinrich / duhon I'm not sure if Seattle would do this or if we would be willing to do it. But its interesting. But at the end of the day, I want the Gasol deal to go through. |
