The author's assessment is way off base on almost everyone he talked about. I agree with shopping Wallace, Thabo and Kirk. But Nocioni has been one of the only consistent players on the bulls this season. He brings more heart and intensity than anyone else. Tyrus is just showing what he can be once he hits his stride. I would say he is more untradeable than almost anyone.
Deng needs to show the coaches and the fans that he wants the basketball. he hasnt done so yet this season.

We dont need Kobe, we need a low post scorer. I think we should try to put a package together for Gasol.

wow. real glad i went to THAT game. dry.gif

I would ask for my money back. if the team only puts in a half assed effort, you should get half your ticket price back. Probably one of the most embarassing bulls performance I have seen. Hinrich is playing like a rookie, he can't hit anything. Deng looks like he doesnt want to be near the basketball. Trading deng for Kobe might not be a bad idea if he is scared to play basketball. Nocioni plays with more heart and intensity.

It is nice to see Tyrus explode every once in a while. I just wish his other games weren't such a drop-off. If his other games were even decent his numbers would be far more impressive, and we might have pulled out another game or two. That's to be expected for a young player, but it seems even more pronounced with him.

God, I feel like I'm talking about Grossman. blink.gif

Please dont compare Tyrus to Grossman. Please.

I never did get the talk of Deng being an up and coming superstar. Very good player...yes. Superstar....no. There's one thing that Barkley said that is pretty obvious and pretty true. The Bulls are strictly a perimeter team. They don't run hardly any sets for inside plays (no brainer considering Wallace's lack of offense). But we should be working on backdoor cuts and such with Tyrus.

There's one guy that given their team start and all and maybe they'd be willing to retool before the trading deadline...and that's Washington Gilbert Arenas. I wonder what kind of package it would take to land him starting with Gordon.

It would probably take a trade involving deng and/or Gordon to get Arenas.

Barkley said the other night prior to the Pistons game, the Bulls have a lot of great
players, but no superstar? Does everyone agree? And how about Deng? His name comes up in the trade rumors, but he could squash those by signing; 5 years $57 million is hardly chump change?
$11.4 million a year. Thus the question too....Did we blow it by not getting Gasol???? Speak out....

15 ppg is not going to make Deng a super star. Deng is a good player, but doesnt appear to want to be the go to guy. He might work best as a complimentary player to a super star or our top scorer.

Tyrus might be the superstar for this team in a couple of years.

Holy cow I missed the game yesterday and I see he had 21 points 12 rebounds and 3 blocks, anyone care to explain how he looked that saw the game??

It was one of the best games I have seen him play. Most importantly, he is gaining confidence. He actually hit a couple mid range jump shots and showed improved play in the low post. I dont expect that from him every night, but I think it's a glimpse of what he is going to be. Tyrus will probably give us 13pt 9 reb this year...However, if he continues to improve...who knows?
He will most likely have ups and downs this season.

My 2 cents...

I believe the trade is done and agreed to. Kobe wouldnt come to chicago if we traded Deng. Supposedly the Lakers 2nd choice was Nocioni. Since he can't be traded until 12/15, they announced there is no trade. This makes sense bc Pax doesnt want the bulls distracted for the next 6 weeks and brings Kobe here to a team with a losing record....

I wouldnt be suprised if this trade was announced at 12:01 am on 12/15...

Gordon, Nocioni, Wallace and a draft pick....(I think the Lakers will have to throw in 1 or 2 players for salary and roster purposes)

(I'm hoping Kobe wants Tyrus here too!)

You can tell this Bulls team is not right. They were completely inept in the 4th quarter last night against the sixers. Hinrich couldnt hit anything and kept turning it over and Gordon was forcing his game. If we had Kobe...we would win games like that in the 4th...Plus, he draws so much attention that Deng and Tyrus would benefit greatly.

Ben Wallace, Ben Gordon and a throw in for Kobe....should be a done deal.

No way we give up Deng as well....

I love thinking of Kobe, hinrich and Deng all playing together....

We still need a low post player no matter what...

Just out of curiosity, could you link to the page so that we can see where that came from?

yeah, trading our entire starting lineup could get it done. that woman and 99.9% of anyone who espn puts on tv is an idiot.

realistically, any trade for Kobe is going to have to include Deng. In my mind Deng is untradeable, however, for Kobe that would be reasonable.

I think a package of deng, Gordon, Wallace and the Knicks pick could get it done. We would have to put in Wallace bc of salary and Gordon wouldnt have a place here with Kobe anyways.

Pax has proven he is a jedi...If Kobe wants to come to chicago and enforces that stance, we could possibly get it done without including Deng, but I doubt it.

The starting lineup would be
PG:Hinrich
SG:Bryant
SF: Noch
PF:Tyrus
C: Brown/FA/Someone from the lakers thrown in trade?

If Pax can pull this off and keep Deng....That would be amazing to see them play side by side and have Hinrich run the point.

If this is remotely true...WOW!!!!

3 way trade...Amare Stoudemire to the Bulls, Garnett to the Suns...Didnt say who the bulls would give up. As long as it's not Dengas part of the trade...I'm in!!!!

What do you guys think???

This being a 3 way trade...it would give them KG, which would give that type of team a better chance at a title, by adding defense. Anything we would be giving up would most likely be to Minny...There would definitely be multiple players involved to make contracts balance out. This makes sense if the suns think they can win now by adding Garnett. This would make perfect sense for the bulls. I have no problem giving up Hinrich, the knicks pick and some fillers for Stoudemire. He would be perfect on this team and would be the premiere big man in the east instantly.
It's a longshot, but I would love this trade if it happens.

I just got word from a buddy...I'm going to game 1 in Detroit!!!

I was at game 1 against Detroit in 1991, the year they swept them for the first time before winning their first title.

Actually they can be right there is a kid from france that is like 18 and he is one of the better prospects in the draft. He is a 6'8 shooting guard which has been our problem for many of years not having a "tall" guard if we draft Nicolas Batum we can trade gordon for a good post player and teams will do that because gordon is able to get 20 ppg. Also batum still has some to grow and develop over the next little while and will be very good he has a very good wing span and also can play execllent D (where players are actually are scard to shoot the ball because he always blocks the shoots that his opponents put up) and he can actually dribble the ball which would be a plus. He would be able to guard players like wade and have hinrich play his actual position point guard and not have him match up aginst shooting guards.

He will be inexpieranced like tyrus is right now but we all predict that that tyrus will be a special player and the same can go for Batum he is the same age as tyrus(maybe a little younger) but he has the potential for greatness just like we all see in tyrus.

Give me your feed back if is a horrible idea or a good one?

why trade away one of the best players on the team just to get an 18 year old project?? that makes no sense. Gordon is fine and will flourish once we add a low post threat. Any mock draft that has us picking a SG or SF is complete garbage. There is no way we go into next season without adding a big man who can score. If we get a young PF or C out of the draft to develop that will be fine...but taking a project at SG makes no sense, especially if we dont have a low post threat. Besides, we already have a tall SG and his name is swisse chocolate. He is coming along nicely this year and will earn more playing time next season.

On the ride to work this morning, I was subject to the Mike North Morning Disaster, however something good did come of it.

Apparently, when Rip was a little beach and elbowed Tyrus, and obviously wanted to incite a fight/riot last night, Tyrus turned away, disinterested.

"I don't hit guys who wear masks," he reportedly said to Rip. Then Rip flipped his lid, ripped off his mask, and kept going after Tyrus.

I love Tyrus, and obviously, he's the funniest fucker in the NBA. However, he did not do enough to warrant an ejection. I'm sick of Detroit and their band of thugs were have a sense of entitlement. I hope we tear through them in the playoffs...

that is the funniest signature i have seen in a long time. nice.

Tyson Chandler comes to mind.

tyson chandler caught a pass and then dunked it??? I remember his arms failing wildly while the ball was stripped or blocked everytime he tried to go up for a dunk.

I like jason richardson, but at what price and who's mins is he taking away? He is an upgrade over gordon as far as size, but no way I make a trade for him to start over gordon.

We have 1 major need...low post scoring!!!! Thabo is coming along nicely as a tall defensive sg and Gordon will still improve. He is our clutch go to guy and has really come through for us this year. I think Deng and Gordon make a good 1-2 punch...Once we add a legit low post threat, it will open things up even more for them and make this team a contender.

the team looks better when duhon runs the point. lessdribbling around and less stupid turn overs. hinrich is a better talent, but needs some major coaching.

Fuckin' Chris Webber. This will be a very tough loss to swallow.

That's game. Good effort overall, though. We can obviously play with the Pistons. Can we beat them in a playoff series? As of right now, I'd say no. That could change, of course.

Deng was almost invisible today. Once again he is a phantom in the 4th quarter. Hinrich had another game of dribbling in circles, turning the ball over and missing wide open shots. The team looked better when Duhon was running the point as usual.

Maybe we should have pulled the trigger on the Gasol trade. I thought we should have tried to package Kirk in the deal to Keep Deng and Gordon...But if Deng continues to be absent against top defenders and in the 4th quarter, it doesnt matter how much upside he has. It doesnt look like he plays with any intensity or fire out there, just settles for mid range jumpers all day.

Funny article, but I have to agree that giving up deng or gordon would have been a bad idea. I would have tried to package Hinrich, Brown and a pick for someone...But I guess Kirk's trade value wasnt high enough.

fire skiles...now fire paxson??? It takes more than 3 years to build a champion. Pax has turned around the worst franchise in the NBA to almost a contender in a short time. We are 1 piece of the puzzle away from contending, but it'snot worth dismantling the bulls to do it. We had Brand, Artest and Miller...but traded them away for complete garbage...Now Gasol or KG would be awesome...but if we can keep Deng and Gordon, but find another way to add a low post player...then Pax looks like a jedi once again.

That is also a reason why I'd like to see Pax show Skiles the door. There is absolutely no reason why a player should lose out on a chance to come to the Bulls (Especially a great player in Randolph) because of the head coach that just so happens to be stubborn and has strict rules.

I don't think any "Superstar" or "Star" type of player would want to come to the Bulls if they had other options like the Lakers, Suns, or other solid teams because they know they will have to deal with Skiles antics. I have never been a fan of Skiles since we lost out on a chance to improve our team the last few years. I wonder how the players would react if Skiles got fired? Just a thought to ponder.

At the same time, our players can focus more on the game of basketball and less on antics. His players know what to expect, understand what is expected of them and are required to play hard every night. If they dont play hard on both ends of the floor...they wont play. I agree that Skiles should pick his battles and has room for improvement as a coach. Seriously, who cares if they wear head bands, etc. But I like him overall and dont know who would really be better for this team at this point. We have young guys who are not only learning the nba game...but how to be grown men with money. I think a coach like skiles tends to keep them in line more and they will be better for it.
On the flipside, it would be unfortunte if some stars did not want to come here bc Skiles has rules and expectations...But do we want players who are not willing to be held accountable for their actions? Do we want players who aren't team players, who cant follow rules, who get into trouble off the court?
I think Skiles is the right man for the job, he just needs to pick his battles on a few topics and be a little less stubborn.

it's one thing liking someone and trying to help them out vs being their coach. Skiles is a well known red ass. the honeymoon would last a few weeks, then randolf would be sent home.

If we can add Gasol or a 2nd tier big man, Gordon will ascend to a true all star level. His open looks will increase dramatically. Imagine the kick outs to BG7, pick and rolls, double teams, etc. I would like Gasol, but dont want to give up the farm to get him...adding a 2nd tier big man would improve Gordon's game, as well as Wallace's.

I wouldnt give up Gordon or Deng for Randolf. I had a hard enough time thinking we would give one of them up for Gasol. I'm glad Paxson is standing firm and not giving up half of our core players. However, we need to remember we have to resign Gordon, Noch and Deng...Is that possible to resign all 4?? You know some idiot GM is going to throw close to max money at Gordon or Deng....

I trust Pax will make the right move. We dont need an all star, just a solid serviceable PF.

Ray is one of the top defensive 2 guards in the nba. He would be a huge upgrade, and he is also 6'5.
BUT, do we pull the trigger for someone who will be turn 32 in july while Ben turns 24 in April.

I just did this trade on trade machine and it worked, give me some opinions on this.

Chicago Sends

Pj Brown
Mike Sweetney
Thabo Sefolosha (we could substitute our 2008 or 2009 first rounder instead)
Ben Gordon

Seattle Sends

Chris Wilcox
Ray Allen

This gives us a lineup of

deng/ noc / khryapa
wilcox / noc / thomas
wallace / wilcox / allen
allen / griffin / (sefolosha if we trade draft pick instead)
hinrich / duhon

I'm not sure if Seattle would do this or if we would be willing to do it. But its interesting.

But at the end of the day, I want the Gasol deal to go through.

no way seattle gives up allen and wilcox for 2 SGs, brown and a pick. They would most likely want deng or hinrich too.
