the lakers want to get brandon Roy out of washington and to do that they want to trade up.
http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/407...oy_or_williams/.

i was thinking that they give up draft picks 26th, and 51st and also give up Andrew Bynum and smush parker, possibly they also give up there second round pick next year.

what do you think. please no koby that is not going to happen. biggrin.gif

Id do it in a second for Bynum. However, I highly doubt they would.

They wouldn't give up Bynum for Ron Artest so I highly doubt they would give it to us for Roy. If West was running the Lakers, that would be enough for me to suggest drafting Roy laugh.gif

On a sidenote i wouldn't make a deal with the Lakers. They don't have anything that could help us; although I wouldn't mind Chris Mihm, but I am not about to give up our 2nd overall pick for him or any other combo of Laker players (since Odom and Kobe won't be a part of that package).

Lakers have nothing I want

On a side note the buzz is out on Roy. We need to draft him.

Doesn't he play the same position as kobe?

Isn't odom going to play the 3?

Even if not, they have more pressing needs than a 2-guard

i DOUBT this is more than heresay

The Bulls and the Lakers are not a match at all for a deal. The Bulls need a big man who can score or a big guard who can defend, LA has neither that has a worth equal to the #2 pick in the draft.

Couple of things...

They still run the triangle offense, so you don't really need a true PG.

Phil has always loved big guards, so Roy and Kobe in the backcourt is probably very high on his list.

I would think that Odom continues to play sort of a 3-4 role like Shawn Marion, Al Harrington and Andres Nocioni. He's got enough skills to provide a little of both, but isn't really a strong fit at either.

Smush Parker as a key part of a deal for a #2 pick? Ugh, no thanks.
