Considering that's not possible, it's probably just for the time being until he chooses a new one. I think it's safe to say the Bulls will not be unretiring MJ's number for ANYBODY.

QUOTE (Bullies4Life @ Jul 15 2006, 01:03 AM) "Guys, i have close source at the Denver Nuggets office executives. He told me that Denver and Chicago already agreed JR Smith for Eisley + 2 futures second round. And that the trade is closed and will be announced very soon. He also said that Pax wants a 1st round pick, badly, he tried hard, but he aceppetd Eisley and 2 second rounds. Its a good source, i can tell, so, where's smoke... * Maybe Pax is getting Eisley because a Duhon trade? A S&T with Cavs or somebody else? What about a big package? its my first rumor, iam not a ballboy, iam not making history." -Some guy posted this on REALGM... what so u guys think? This is so funny it's not even funny. If Pax were dumb enough to trade someone with as high a star as JR smith for a 34 year old FOURTH PG, he needs to get a piss test. This trade is so atrocious that if it did go down, I will break my laptop. Come, JR is already 10 times the player Eisley ever was, and Im positive there are MUCH MUCH MUCH better offers on the table that would actually help the team. Eisley isnt even under contract with Denver. One would have to be the dumbest GM on earth to make this deal, and I trust Pax is smarter than to trade a 20 year old athletic stud, for a guy who cant even play half a season anymore. |

interesting read. I think he could be a special player for the bulls. My only concern is that if he clashed with Scott, he could have similar problems with Skiles...simply bc skiles demands effort, intensity, defense and improvement. If JR is willing to commit to skiles program, skiles could help take this kid to the next level.
Also...not that this hasnt been said enough...Pax is a genius or a jedi master. |

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 15 2006, 09:55 PM) Pippen's # was retired. I thought it was too, but wasn't sure. I remember them having a ceremony for Scottie, but for some reason I didn't think it was to retire his number. Brain fart I guess. |

Here's a question:
If a certain Coach Ditka wanted to play for the Bulls and requested #23, would you bring it out of retirement for him? I think I would... |
