Northwest Herald - Minnesota's Kevin Garnett reportedly is on the market, writes David Brown of the Northwest Herald.
The Bulls are a team who may be able to put an attractive deal together for the longtime member of the Minnesota Timberwolves . Out of a group of Luol Deng, Ben Gordon, Andres Nocioni and Kirk Hinrich, at least one player would all but certainly have to be included "I like our perimeter players," Paxson said. "They're all young, they're all going to get better, they all have a unique talent." |

I don't want to give away any of our young talent.
I would much rather see Detroit letting Wallace go, and us signing him. If not Wallace, then sign Joel Pyznbila(sp?). Or, draft Pat O'Bryant or Saer Sene with the second 1st round pick, and then either trade for or sign a SG. |

Why is every so against adding 21 and 12 to our frontcourt.
Garnett has at least 4-5 all star seasons left IMO. If we only have to give up 1 of our core guys and a draft pick why not? |

If we only have to give up 1 of our core guys and a draft pick why not? Because hes been in the league 12 years ALREADY and his knees are in terrible shape and cant run up and down the floor the way he used to and realistically has about 2-3 good years left in him. |

He's never been a proven winner, doesn't seem to want the ball with the game on the line. If we're giving up part/most of our nucleus for a player, I'd prefer it be someone who can take over a game and while Garnett is a fantastic player, he's never been that guy imo.

No thanks...I wouldnt wanna give up too much for him anyways we'd become the Chicago T-Wolves, and that isnt so appealing to me.

Thats why the Bulls have a guy named Ben Gordon And i wouldnt mind KG here... the guy still has at least 3 good years in him... And even if he starts declining later on, he's still a very very smart player and would still be able to do some nice things while our core players would be in their primes... That being said... i still believe we would have to end up giving up 2 of our core players.. and i dont want that to happen... Lets just try to draft Alridge and hope he becomes close to a KG type player.... I know he probably wont be as good, but he can be our guy that will play some D, rebound here and there, and most of all get us some points in the paint. Go Bulls! |

I'm pretty sure the T-Wolves would want Deng and either Hinrich or Gordon, and you know Paxson isn't trading Hinrich anytime soon. |

If we only have to give up 1 of our core guys and a draft pick why not? Depending on the offer, I'd love KG in Chicago. He is a super star and if we were able to keep most of our core around and have KG I'm all for it. Teams that acquire superstars usually get the better end of the deal (historically speaking...just look at when major players get dealt, probably 80% of the time the team getting the star wins the trade). |
