from Fred Mitchell of the Trib
QUOTE Publicist Howard Bragman, from a Los Angeles-based company called Fifteen Minutes, was spreading the word at the Leigh Steinberg Super Bowl party Saturday that a former NBA player he represents will be announcing publicly that he is gay on Valentine's Day. Bragman would say only that the player has been retired for about three years and was not a member of the Bulls or the Nets. He added that the player was not a prominent name in the NBA. The player also has a book that will be released in conjunction with his public disclosure.

OMG, Truth, that's suck a good guess it's scary.
The only problem is that some might argue that he was a prominent NBA player for a while, especially his agent. |

I guess the rumor going around is that it is John Amechi When I was playing in college my teamate got a phone call from the Orlando Magic to come over to Florida for a six week tryout. He went and made it 4 weeks before getting cut. The final roster spot went to John Amaechi. This was the 99-00 season and Orlando played in the first game of 2000. Amaechi scored the first points of the millenium and his jersey is hanging in the Hall of Fame apparently. After this one itll be hanging in the Hall of Flame too. |

Theyre making too big of a deal about this. I cant wait for some players to say some really dumb things in the media and have to swallow their tongue.
