Sam Smith: It's All Those Jazz! Bulls have their starting two guard as NBA sources say they agree to $12.5 million three-year deal with Ronnie Brewer

Currently under contract with the Bulls:

Rose
Brewer
Deng/Korver/Johnson
Boozer/Gibson
Noah/Asik

Marc Spears from Yahoo! Sports reports that Brewer turned down an offer from Boston because of the likelihood of him starting in Chicago.

"I got an opportunity to start (in Chi). Both (Chi and Bos) are storied programs. It came down to where I could excel more," Brewer told Y!. Brewer says Celtics offered similar $, but starting & re-joining Utah teammates Boozer, Korver were main draw. Utah never made strong run.

And apparently Derrick Rose is the ONLY Bull under contract under 6'7.

Great move by the Bulls again once the Redick deal got matched. Brewer has the ability to really help on the defensive end and can score where needed. Another solid acquisition!

I LOVE this signing. Love it. Now get another shooter to come off the bench and resign Brad Miller and call it an offseason.

EDIT: Oh and we now have a Brewer and a Boozer on this team. hmmmmmm

I'm as excited about his statements as anyone, but I'll believe it when I see it. PLUS, the idea of having multiple guys who can shoot with range is to HELP D-Rose out... his just stepping up and hitting some doesn't really help him drive the lane.

I would have rathe have had Reddick...and so would have the Bulls.

With that said, I'm excited to add Brewer to Rose in the back court. He'll provide a size/ability at the SG spot haven't had in forever.

Great signing.

Not if they add another shooter like I said, along with Brad Miller. The reason I say Miller is because he has range out to the 3 pt line and can hit one occasionally.

Miller-Brewer-Boozer?

I'd be in favor of Mason, Fernandez, or trading for Xavier.

Thibodeau has got to love that. We have crazy size and length now.

That also just means we're short a PG or two.
