Mk, I was thinking, we still are somewhat developing Tyson Chandler still are we not? I was looking at his highschool stats (And I know that means jack but its still interesting) He averaged 25 ppg 15 rbpg and 8 blpg lol! Im not asking do you think he can get those numbers cuz obviously he cant but. Do you think its possible that if Tyson puts on some muscle this summer (Since he says he was going to) And works on everything needed to be worked on that he can average over 10 a game next season? What is his ultimate potential?

IMO His max potential (Depending how hard he works these next couple of summers) I think it is possible for him to average 16ppg and thats a long stretch i know but our Center position is still Wide-Open if you will. What is your opinion? How good will Chandler Be next season? And Throughout the rest of his career?

Yeah i still ahve faith in Chandler. If we do get a lowpost threat over the off-season then i think we will see him as a WAYYY different player than this year. We saw his potential in the 04-05 season with eddy down there with him.

I don't have faith in him ever living up to the contract we gave him. I like Tyson, but I'd much rather spend his money on a guy like Ben Wallace or someone else.

we have already seen the best of chandler. In my opinion, it was the 2nd worst trade in nba history and he is a major bust. 5 years is plenty of time to develop into at least a mediocre player.

I have zero faith in Chandler.

He has shown no commitment to bulking up and getting stronger.

He has shown no commitment to develop any type of offenseive game..in fact his offense game has regressed since he has been in the league

He is worthless trash and I can't beleive Paxon gave him that contract(I love Pax..but that was a bad move IMO)

I got Chnadlers back, hopefully he works extra hard this off-season unlike last year Chandler. It would be great if he puts on 20 pounds and work son his inside scoring presence.

Hands! He needs hands!

Really though, I think he's a solid guy off the bench, but for 60-70 million, I expect a hell of a lot more and I don't think we'll see it out of him.

Pippen FOR Olden Polynice was pretty terrible.

Dirk and something else (can't remember?) FOR Tractor Traylor

The Golden State Warriors trading Robert Parrish and the draft rights to Kevin McHale for Joe Barry Carroll.

The St. Louis Hawks trading the draft rights to Bill Russell to the Celtics (the Hawks did get a ring out of this deal, but the Celtics got 11).

IMO all of the ones mentioned thus far are worse, and there are a few more. Chandler-Brand is bad, but he's still got a ways to go to become a superstar like the other guys mentioned. Plus Chandler is at least a serviceable player, unlike a lot of the schmucks in these deals.

Not sure I'd say I believe in him, in that I'm not convinced yet.

In my eyes, this is the make or break season for him in terms of me thinking he can be an asset. This year, he has absolutely no more excuses. He'll have big help in some sort so that he doesn't have to be our only low post scorer (either that or he'll have more talent on the floor around him, hopefully able to generate its own shots). He shouldn't have to guard every single center on his own this year. He should be able to get good rebounding/defensive position without having it hurt the team.

Furthermore, there's no excuse for him not being in shape. He's worked through most of the kinks in his body. He has a full summer to prepare for next season. He already has his contract, so there's no "don't get hurt while we're talking" issue. And he's been in the league long enough that there's no more ability for people to say he's still a kid.

This is Tyson's make or break season. If he can't perform like a good, solid starter, it's time to let someone else try.

If we get a Gooden or Al Harrington we will see the best version of Tyson

As long as we get a big man who can score, I believe Tyson will bounce back big this next season.
