His player option needs to be accepted by the 25th, which is before the draft, so the Bulls will at least know whats going on with him when they make there pick. Not that Songalia would have any impact on who they take at 2 or 16, but it could have an impact on what they do in terms of trades (on or around draft day).

Songaila is an amazing spark off the bench. He has gret moved down low and has a good jumper to accompany it. He is also a great passer. Songaila is the best power forward the Bulls have right now. |

If we dont draft a Center in the draft example would be saer sene then i could see him getting minutes at the center spot like this year. but When we sign that big man FA that makes our roster all mest up...as shown downlow... its crowded down there PF-Tyson/darius/DP/Malik C- FA/sweets/DP/othella Darius would probably hold the 2nd PF spot until lamarcus ( or whoever) starts to get used to it. I woulod rather have pax do a sign and trade and get us that SG we need. It wont be a star, just a guy that could come in for Ben when he needs to |

That's assuming that both draft picks are post players and that we add a FA big man. That seems highly unlikely.
Actually, I suppose you could mean that only one draft pick gets taken and he plays both now that I look at it again. Either way, if that were to happen I doubt that a few of the guys currently on our roster would be back (like Harrington or Malik). |

Songs is a great fit into the Bulls offense. I hope they keep him around.

I was wondering why we didnt attempt to sign him long term last year before he got hurt, but hopefully he uses his option so we can negotiate on a new contract. |

Still nothing on ... I was hoping it had something to do with today being Sunday, but its pretty clear he wont be accepting his option. It may make sense for both sides, and I see no reason he cant get all the PT he wants here if he decides to sign long term. He is the high energy great shooter that both Pax and Skiles love off the bench, and we would be better to keep him.
