According to Chad Ford there is a rumor going around about this deal:
To Bulls: #9 pick Troy Murphy Mike Pietrus To Warriors: #16 pick Tyson Chandler I realize we'd lose Tyson Chandler, but if there is any truth to us getting Ben Wallace this would be a fantastic trade. Murphy is pretty lousy defensively, but he's a good rebounder who can score and would be very solid off the bench in a scoring role along side Wallace. Pietrus is the big guard we could use. He's got the tools to be a solid defensive player and he really came on strong down the stretch. His 3 point shot has improved, but he still needs to become more than just a jump shooter. This also would put the Bulls in a spot where they could pick up O'Bryant, Brewer or anyone else they really like that they don't think would slide to 16. Not a bad move at all if you can bring in a guy like Wallace to replace Tyson. |

If I'm Paxson and the Golden State GM proposed this to me, I'd accept and then kiss him. |

Ya, it would be far better for the Bulls since they get to hold onto Noc. Of course a lot of it would depend on them getting someone to replace Chandler's defensive presence. |

That is a great trade for the Bulls, they get their big guard, and scoring big man all in one swoop, and they still have all of their depth as Murphy replaces Tyson, and they practically draft anyone they want at that point.

I like O'Bryant's long term potential and his legit center size and at the same time I think Aldridge has the ability to be a very good all around PF. |

I agree, doesn't make much sense from Golden States perspective, but apparently they don't think too much of Pietrus and they badly want to get rid of Murphy so they can get some more athletic bigs in there. As far as 9 goes, Saer has to be an option as well. His status has gone up and if he did impress the Bulls in some workout, he could truly be an option. I've seen him moving up in most mocks and apparently he's having good workouts. He's very raw, but Paxson has been quoted as saying it doesn't matter if the guy will make an impact immediately. He said he just wants to get the guys he thinks will fit. |

That would be a VERY good trade. I'm not a huge Murphy fan (he's useful but not all that good), but getting Pietrus and moving up to #9 would be sweet. We'd have an awful lot of options then because we'd only have one real need instead of two (eliminating the big guard need).
However, that seems pretty uneven to me, and I would think we'd have to throw in more. We're getting two starting-quality players and a top-10 pick. |

This is too good to be true.
C- Wallace/Sene PF-Murphy/Thomas/Sweets SF-Deng/Noc SG-Gordon/Pietrus/Vet Guard PG-Hinrich/Duhon that line-up could take the Bulls deep. And that's without major contributions from Sene and Thomas. Just imagine, if those guys perform. |

No way the Bulls take Sene over O'Bryant if they were both there with the 9th pick.
And if Tyrus Thomas was the only big man available in the draft, I still wouldn't pick him. |

Unless Murphy can play center we would be banking on a raw O'Bryant or Saer
to come in and start. But this would give us a freaking deep lineup.(assuming we draft Aldridge, O'Bryant) PG - Hinrich SG - Gordon C - O'Bryant PF - Aldridge SF Deng Bench Nocioni Murphy Pietrus duhon pargo |

Just imagine, if those guys perform. You may be on to something. If they deal Chandler, they very well could go with Thomas who could be a defensive stopper and than some if he ever figured out any offense. I hate buying into all the media stuff, but it does seem like Pax is pretty high on Thomas. And if we dealt Chandler and got Thomas/Sene or Thomas/O'Bryant we'd be getting two quality players and athletes. I just have doubts when it comes to taking two guys that are very raw. That said they do have upside, but upside can get you fired real fast in the NBA. |
