Losing to the Nets the last game of the regular season might've been the best thing that happened to us. One, I think it pissed us off. Two, the Heat have challenged us in ways the Nets never could. It's gonna make us better in the long-run.

Remember all the Ben Gordon haters (Hammerhead) from last year? BG is a freaking stud.

This team is growing up right before our eyes. How sweet was it to see Pippen in the front row cheering us on?

This team has been wayyyyy too inconsistent to take any team, I don't care how bad, for granted. There's no such thing as an "easy" schedule with this bunch.

You know the Warriors are in town when Thabo, TT and Griffin all go off the same night. Can they even spell defense?

Ben Wallace is going to have to be on his game tonight. Howard is a god damn monster.

Fuckin' Chris Webber. This will be a very tough loss to swallow.

That's game. Good effort overall, though. We can obviously play with the Pistons. Can we beat them in a playoff series? As of right now, I'd say no. That could change, of course.

I've been one of Ben's biggest critics this year, but he's been outstanding the last 3 games since the break. This is the Ben from Detroit. The Ben we all had envisoned when he was signed. If we get this Ben Wallace the rest of the way, it'll mean more and do more for us than any trade we could've possibly made (outside of, like, a KG trade).

Which Bulls player needs to improve the most after the All-star break to get the bulls where they need to be (Eastern confrence finals)?

Good question, you could make a case for just about anyone on the team.

Ben gordon = needs to be more consistent
Ben wallace = needs to step his game up to a level were he was at when he was in detroit

etc.

So whats your opinions on this one?

This isn't even a debate. It's Ben Wallace. He's been the single biggest dissapointment of this season. He's not anywhere near the player he was with Detroit. Yeah, he's had his moments, but the consistency has not been there. He's gotten his ass kicked by a number of elite/all-star bigs. He has career lows across the board. 15 million a year? Earn your freaking paycheck!

How about Mr. 15 million dollars a year tonight? 15 points, 21 rebounds, 6 blocks.

Woops, my bad, that wasn't Ben Wallace. That was Emeka Okafor. Ben had 3/9/1. Oh, and Tyson Chandler with another 15 rebound game tonight. If we could only go back in time.

You know what I think is really going to wind up bothering me? There's a really solid chance that the Grizz will decide they don't want to make a move without an overwhelming deal, like a Deng + Gordon deal for Gasol deal, a deal the Bulls would just be stupid to make.

But you know what's going to happen? Because we'll never know exactly what the Grizzlies price was, people are going to wind up pretending that Pax could have made the deal at some price that seems reasonable, and if nothing gets done because the Grizz don't have to make a deal, people will be mad at Paxson because they'll think it could have been done for TT and a draft pick or something less than 1/2 of our team. And people will be screaming "oh Pax did a terrible job, sure this team was 10 games better than it was last season and is sure to get even better in 07-08, but we should have made that deal!" when no one really knows what the deal would have been.

You mean like last year when Sox fans crucified KW for not trading for Soriano and 5 new starting pitchers?

As I've said before, this team has been running in quicksand ever since a 'breakout' 2005. We're good enough to make the playoffs in a weak conference. That's it. Adding Ben Wallace at the ridiculous contract he's getting hasn't elevated us one bit (not surprising for anybody that realized Ben Wallace is simply a roleplayer. A very good one, but still a roleplayer). I'm also very, very dissapointed in Thabo Sefolosha. I didn't expect much from TT this year. But I really thought Thabo was gonna have an impact right away. Kind of like Manu Ginobili did his first year with the Spurs.

Good points by all. Like I said, I never wanted Eddy to go, but I understood why he had to go. But looking back now, it turns out that Eddy was just fine. Has he had one issue with his heart the last two years? Now, because we haven't had anything remotely close to a post-scorer since we traded Eddy, we're more than likely gonna have to trade two of Hinrich/Deng/Gordon to get one. And we can forget about the Knicks pick this year netting us anything close to an impact big. At this point, I'm not sure the Knicks will not make the playoffs.

Do you watch basketball outside of Chicago? Chandler is having a great year and is averaging a lot less TO per mins played then he did with the Bulls. That tells me that he has learned to play the game. He will also improve as he is only 24. As Bulls fans we need to admit that paxson made a mistake and that will haunt us for years to come.

Did you mean to quote Drunkbomber? lol.

Apparently he was okay. The Knicks doctors checked Curry and they said he was perfectly fine. Paxson made up that story about Curry having a heart problem so he wouldn't have to gamble on 2 unproven players.

I won't say all that. But there should've been a way to resolve the situation without having to trade Eddy.

Eddy Curry had heart problems and is a fatty.

We have Tyrus Thomas and another pick coming up.

Pax has taken this team from a perrennial 11 win team to back to back playoffs. I'm fine with that freak of an experient being over with.

That fatty should've made the all-star team. Eddy is having a great year. I give Paxson a lot of credit for turning this franchise around. But he has made some pretty dumb moves.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Feb 8 2007, 10:21 PM) *
Chandler is a joke. Hes a little hot head twerp who gets dominated by big men and with Curry we didnt have much of a choice. We all wanted to keep Curry here but his heart condition (AKA ephedra) and his refusal for the physical made it impossible.

What? Dude is averaging almost 12 RPG. And, unlike Mr. 15 million dollar man, has a solid impact defensively EVERY single night. I'm torn as far as Eddy goes. I never wanted him to go. But I understood, atleast at the time, why he had to. If Tyrus Thomas becomes the player we all think and hope he becomes, and our pick this year is somewhere in the top 6 or so, the trade basically evens out for both teams (we win the trade easily if we can somehow, someway land Oden or Durant).

I was just thinking about this earlier today. It's a shame. We would easily be the top team in the east with these two still around. Just shows what can happen when you give up on young talent too early. Now were stuck with the now overrated, overpaid, declining Ben Wallace for the next 4 years. P.J. has basically been a waste of space.

That's funny b/c I was saying the exact same thing earlier tonight about Kirk being the Bull's Rex. Although he is not that bad, he is inconsistent and he is not the real option as a point guard just like Rex isn't the real option as a QB. Kirk has been playing better lately but he still isn't a game changer.

Did anyone see that horrible backcourt pass? That looked like something out of the Chris Duhon playbook.

How about the Bulls keep everyone and if they don't get a top 2 pick in the draft, they trade Tyrus or Gordon with their pick and get Kevin Durant. The guy is going to be sick. Has T-Mac potential or better written all over him.

LMAO@any team with the #1 and 2 picks in the draft trading them for Gordon, Tyrus or anybody.

it's over for this one. because Isiah has a better idea than Larry Brown of how to coach 15 shoot-first point guards, the Knicks are hovering around .400...which likely won't get their pick into the top two. no Oden, no Durant...I hate life.

Yup, Paxson needs to trade the pick before it loses any worth is currently has. The Knicks look like they're gonna win anywhere from 35-41 games. Virtually no chance at landing a top 2 pick.
