With the bulls haveing too many guards do you guys think that it is possible that we can make a trade and off load one of them to Orlando? If so what players would they possibly give up being that they have hopes of reaching the finals this season. What scenarios do you guys think is possible?

The guy who was a good fit for them before this injury and is a better fit for them now is Hinrich. The Bulls need to offload his salary by any means necessary. If they could offload him and Nocioni, then they could extend Gordon and still have cap space in 2010.
Orlando doesn't have a lot of expiring contracts in the next 2 years. Tony Battie is their biggest of them, currently making $5.7 million, expiring in 2010. If you package Tony Battie with either Keith Bogans or Brian Cook (Both of whom are on 1 year deals, $2.5 and $3.5 million respectively) you can make the salaries work, clear out Hinrich's contract, make the magic better, give the team room to sign Gordon, and potentially give the team cap space after 2010 to top it off. I'd do Bogans, Battie, and some combination of draft picks including their first rounder this year for Hinrich. On talent alone we'd clearly lose the deal, but both teams would get what they need out of it. |
