Best news I've heard of the matter. Stomach cramps is just the excuse they gave.

here are some tyrus quotes from the suntimes
QUOTE "Once again, the critics don't know that LSU was my first time playing in the post,'' he said. QUOTE I'm not sure how big of an inside presence I'll make. I'm capable of playing several positions. Whatever they need me to do, I'm willing to do it, wherever I go.'' I think at first glance he seems to be saying all the right things...hard worker, do anything coaches want, etc.....but when you think about it this is a well advised kid who is delusional, and it comes out in the interviews. He says all the things he was taught to say, like working hard and stuff, but i think the REAL tyrus thomas is a kid who wants to play small forward in the NBA but doesn't have the skills, who's being pushed and shoved and hushed by advisors who know that his only shot to make it in the league is to be drafted as a pf and hope he puts on bulk before his first contract is up. You can tell by what his agents and trainers say, "he'll be a banger" and stuff, and what he says every now and then. |

If Tryrus Thomas thinking he is a 3, he is absoultely worthless to the Bulls, and that is the bottom line. They have two quality SFs now as it is, and do not need another one. The Bulls will not draft Thomas, unless it is as a part of a draft and trade deal.

Ya, that almost settles it that the Bulls wont draft him. I think there two options now are drafting Brandon Roy, or Aldridge.
Id still go with Lamarcus. |

Unless Pax has a definate plan to get a veteran big man that can score, i still want whoever is available, Aldridge or Bargs |

i dunno guys.. I still have a feeling deep down inside that Pax might take Tyrus...
-It appears that he had a really good workout, and shot the ball well. And apperantly he was "sick"... So does Scott Skiles and Paxson take this as a "this is one tough kid, can suck it up, and we need guys like this on our team." -What if Paxson thought this guy could also be our PF that can hit jump shots too, like the other top prospects? And plus he is very athletic, and can block shots, and can grab rebounds and start a fast break... -On the other hand... why do we want a 6'8 PF that only weights around 220 lbs right now?? Are we not in the stage where we need to get through the first round at all cost? Or is Paxs just gonna try and get some impact free agent players? -And heres something that bogles my mind... The workout was cut short, because he was "sick"... If you were so sick, that they had to cut the workout short, would you go out there and talk to the media? Would it be worth it? Would you rather lie down in bed? I dunno bout you guys, but this guy seemed fine to me when i saw a few clips on him.... |

If he has cramps, that would mean he's not pregnant.
What a relief! Yeah, don't draft this guy... doesn't fit into the team, sounds like another Eddie Robinson. |

Sorry to chime in late, but Tyrus is the one person I absolutely dont want us to take. He would be just another athlete at SF who cant shoot and has little developed skills. Nothing would make me stop loving da bulls, but this would definitely take away all my love for Pax. I hope our interest in him is purely a smoke screen. If Aldridge is still on the board and we pass him up for Ty I might spiff my pants and yarf on my TV, and in all honesty there are almost 10 players I would want before we took Thomas, even Reddick and Morrison. spiff, an equally athletic, more polished, all around better player, and high potential SF in Rudy Gay would be available if thats what we want.
