The Bulls are idiots if they let Ben go, simple as that. Pay the damn kid already! They should have given that money to him before they gave it to "Cripple man" anyways..

Well its going to suck not having his scoring spurts, but im not going to miss his lack of defense and inconsistencies. This also helps the Bulls get into position for Dwayne Wade next summer. Also, the Bulls could now afford to keep Kirk Hinrich. I'm guessing Kirk will spend time backing up Salmons and Rose.

Deng will have A LOT of proving to do this season. Not only is staying healthy a big key, but he needs to return to his 04-06 form. |

This is really going to suck. Seriously. Suck. I hope his agent gives us a chance to beat whatever offer he gets from Detroit.
And that draft makes zero sense if they let him walk. |

Didn't Ben really hate being a 6th man? Does he think he's going to start ahead of Hamilton there or are they genuinely planning to move Hamilton?

Man, that lineup could be outmuscled by our starting lineup and that's saying something. It has absolutely no inside presence and its defense relies entirely on undersized guys at 4 positions making up for their lack of size with skill. Laimbeer will be coaching them. |

My first thought was how crappy it would be without him. But the more I think about it, the less I feel the Bulls need him. Salmons can be just as good as Gordon, and he's cheaper, AND he can defend. I hate to lose him, especially to Detroit, but in the long run this may be for the better.

Except they already tried to pay him multiple times and he's too much of a dumbass/too selfish to take what he's actually worth. |

Pretty much everything I read yesterday said Laimbeer is not a candidate for them and that its only public speculation. Reports from this morning are that he HAS been contacted but is a longshot. |

I don't think John is as good creating his own shot and getting into the paint and drawing contact like BG |
