They said on the radio this morning that although they will not take Brewers option, they still may offer him a cheaper deal. (Lets see if he will accept that or not) I am assuming he will not. They also said they are working hard on dealing Korver. If they can do this, they may have enough money on matching Asik. Rumor has it, Thibs REALLY wants to keep Asik more than anyone else.

Ugh, why half ass the rebuild in a lost year?

Ugh... what is the bench going to look like next year? No Asik, Watson, Brewer and possibly Korver? If only we could disperse the money from Boozers deal to those guys and just cut Boozer this year. Taj Gibson is WAY better.

If anything he can help groom Teague while Derrek is on the shelf.

With Asik pretty much gone (unless Gar-Pax gets super creative), with Dengs wrist injury and Rose pretty much out for the season, a part of me wishes that the Bulls will miss the playoffs and enter next years draft lottery. Now I know Thibs will not allow this but next years NBA draft pool is projected to be very deep. Also, after this season cant the Bulls buy out Boozers deal to provide even more cap space?

I say lets shoot big for the 2013-14 season. The only thing worth watching for this season is the development of Teague.

No f***ing chance I'm making any more F***ing game threads after this S***.

Whats a matter. You don't like Lucas dribbling beyond the three point arc for more than 20 seconds per possession? This season is ova!

Stay healthy derrick!

Ugh... you had to say it. unsure.gif

I hope its just a bad sprain. My knee used to lock up and pop back into place. When that happened you can either tear cartilage or just have a severe sprain of the meniscus. I hope its just a sprain. If thats the case, he would likely come back for the second round series if they make it that far.

Bulls are still going strong for Gasol. They are hoping to add a third team as LA really isn't interested so much in Carlos Boozer.

The latest has the Bulls possibly sending a package to LA for Pau Gasol.

The road trip is over. The Bulls will now play something like 60% of their remaining games at home.

There is zero reason for Derrick Rose to play in this game.

I honestly would give Rose the rest of February off. Let him heal properly. Say the Bulls go .500 without him during that span, they would still be in a solid position in the East. I want Rose 100% in time for the playoffs!

Somebody find Rondo and launch him over the scorer's table.

The Bulls fought hard, despite the loss, I was impressed with their effort. They definitley missed D. Rose today, but he needs his rest.

The Heat are on fire and the Bulls are keeping pace. I was talking to my friend today at work and we were duscussing ways to defeat the Heat this year. I honestly think we are still short that one extra star. When the Heat stopped double teaming Rose last year and LeBron was guarding him 1-on-1, nobody else was getting open and we were in trouble. Can this team muscle there way past the Heat this year?

The thing that bothers me is that everyone knows D. Howard would be an amazing fit here, but for whatever reason, Chicago isn't on his "choice list". Is he a moron? This is a big market and would have the opportunity to possibly win 3-5 titles with D. Rose.

I love this team, because thats what it is, a true team! However, this league is star driven and for us to get by the "big three", we need to form at least a "big two" and Dwight Howard would be the final ingredient to a championship puzzle.

This is about the easiest call a GM can make. That's an average of $19 million a year for the MVP.

What do the Bulls do this offseason to improve their playoff chances? We obviously need another scoring threat. And the most obvious position would be the 2 guard. What are our options there? I do NOT want Jamal Crawford. I want a guy who can play defense AND be a scoring threat. From what I have heard, many players want to join the Bulls to be that "Missing" piece to a championship squad.

What about the Forward/Center position. What happens with Gibson, Asik, Noah and Booz. Do we try to improve those positions, or do we rely on depth once again to get us deep in the playoffs?

Foreman has many trading pieces. . and we have a bright future. . . Welcome back NBA smile.gif

The Bulls really busted their tails this year. And i truly enjoyed watching it. However, after observing this Miami series, it made a few things clear. This is a super star driven league. The Bulls will never win a championship with Derrick Rose and crew. Derrick needs his "Scottie Pippen". I don't even think we "NEED" 3 super stars like the HEat and Celtics did. We just need 1 more true super star to help D. Rose out. One guy comes to mind who can make an immediate impact and is available this summer is Dwight Howard. Now would you sacrifice Noah, Asik and Deng for him? I truly believe Deng had his best year this year and it might be wise to sell high.

What are your thoughts going ahead?

I should take a breath from the immediacy of the game, but these points need to be said.

*Why has Korver played so much? He's a liability on defense in this series because of who we're playing. Bottom line. The Bulls looked better offensively with Brewer in the game anyway. Korver has had his chance...move on, Thibs. I'm not saying don't play Korver at all, but don't play him when it matters most.

*It is easy for me to sit in my recliner and say Rose needs to get to the hoop more, but he does. I understand how tough it is for him to continually get HAMMERED at the rim and they only call it half of the time.

*I want to give Miami credit for winning. They shot over 50% again and Bosh was fantastic. However, the Heat are hard enough to guard let alone when the refs help them. That stretch when it was 53-51, Bulls mid way through the 3rd and all of the sudden there were three straight fouls on the Bulls and the Heat went on a run. Again- hats off to the Heat for taking control, but the refs never let allowed the Bulls to get a hold on the game. I felt like the South Park kids trying to play World of Warcraft as I watched that game...things were just taken away.

*Win Tuesday or this series is over.

Yep. Defensively we have been okay. Thibs and staff really need to adjust to them offensively. We haven't figured out a way to adjust to their D. Rose trap at the top of the key. I would like to more of pick and roll set, drive to the hoop, draw fouls and go from there. The Heat are beatabul.
I agree w/ ur Korver sentiments as well. We need to see more Brewer. Lets hope Asik is ready to go on tuesday as well.

Magic # down to 12 bullssmilie1.jpg

If we approach this team like we did during the regular season- i see us having a lot of success, even w/o Boozer.

Efforts must be doubled!

Hey man I read your posts. . keep them coming. Yea that ceremony was awesome. I can't believe it has been 20 years. I Was 7 years old when they defeated the lakers for the title. I remember just sitting in my living room watching the players shower eachother with champaign- so my older brothers and cousins decided it would be fun to shower eachother with soda. My parents were PISSED. lol but it was a moment i'll never forget. It was the beginning of a dynasty.

D. Rose and the Bulls have the best all around team in the East. Yes i said it. This team can do something special this year if they keep this up. They have character and hard work ethic. No ego's. Just a pure team. I'm proud of the Bulls and can't wait for the playoffs to start. They skys the limit with this years squad.

I think Luol Deng played his best game as a Bull in over 3 years last night. Of course he had a tough time stopping Lebron at times- but who doesn't have a hard time guarding him?

Rose stepped up at the end- and that is what great players do.

Thibs did a great job adjusting to Miami's OPEN court game plan.

Was it pretty? No. But most games against contenders will be dog fights like this. I'm so proud to be a fan of this team right now. While Miami is trying to buy titles. The Bulls are growing as a team for the right to be a true champion.

These last two games really say a lot about DR1...he never once at any point in these games tried to push the issue and tried to do too much in making a point. In last night's game he was quick to credit the bench as the reason for winning last night's game and his leadership is unquestioned.

He made Chris Paul and Derron Williams look like average players in these last two games...his ascent to being the top PG in the league came quickly.

He is soo fun to watch. He truly is turning into a superstar before our very eyes. Not only is he the #1 PG in the league- I would put him in the top 10 players in the entire league. I can't wait to see how good this team will be when Noah comes back healthy!?! smile.gif
