Any trade where we are getting a first round pick should be highly considered.

That seems like a bargain, especially if it is coupled with another player.

I've had this argument with a couple people. Gordon was clutch, but he wasn't good in the last second plays, mostly because of their design IMO. I was on the don't resign Ben bandwagon, at least for the money he wanted. I think this year's team will make the decision an after thought and obviously correct move.

He couldn't hit a basket tonight, but he works hard on the boards. Can't have enough of those guys.

I wasn't bothered that Gibson didn't make shots. First real game out of the way for him. He was all over the board and played hard, I liked the pick but he reinforced it last night.

Hope to see Johnson soon, fwiw I prefer Thomas off the bench or not at all.

They do have some decent young talent but if they make the playoffs the Bulls will have even less of a chance of making it. They have a lot of young unproven talent that may become busts. Boone, Williams, Yi all could be in the bust category. But the somewhat large market is nice.

If I'm going for young talent I'm going with Durant, Westrbrook, Green, Mullens, Ibaka, Harden, Thabo, Livingston, White, Swift & Vaden (all of whom are 24 years old or younger). I think the Thunder have a much better shot of making the playoffs than the Nets. I'd swap lineups with the Thunder any day.

Title was what team would you like to own. Yes, I know if Jersey made the playoffs the Bulls most likely wouldn't. I did not take that into account since I would root for the team I would want to own presumably.

OKC has talent and I thought about them but then I took into account market size and New Jersey fits the bill there and I feel their players are more polished and better balance of talent.

New Jersey.

Ton of young talent on that team. They could be real tough in a year or so, could even see them making playoffs this year.

Devin Harris
Courtney Lee
Brook Lopez
Terrence Williams
Yi Jianlian
Chris Douglas Roberts
Josh Boone

Heat are now in the race for Boozer, great.

Got a feeling if we don't get him by the end of next week he will be gone.

Sounds good to me.

Please lets not let the freaking Pistons steal another player from us.

If we don't get Boozer hopefully we can find a scoring replacement for BG at guard. I suppose Pargo would be ok even though he is not my first option.

Jesus Christ.. What a terrible move. He's got to be traded. He's another 3 right?

I'm fine with this.

6'10" player, really no need for Thomas now.

Really shocked didn't go with guard but this is fine with me.

Im happy, didn't want Cassipri or Mullens.

Ellington or Blair would be great at this point. Numbers players right now I would love.

No they weren't. The Celtics almost never run a play off Davis. He gets all of his shots from the other player's garbage. The reason he got so many shots is because he was open. I don't think the Celtics ever actually designed plays for him to shoot.

Other players garbage? Most his shots he made were fouls on layups and mid range jumpers.

He was wide open every shot and he drained just about every mid range jumper. What more do you want from him, if a player isnt gonna miss those shots you feed it to him which is what they did. Wouldn't be surprised if some were designed to go to him, fwiw he hit a game winner today.

I'm sick of seeing blogs saying Wade will be traded and or won't be resigned.

I don't see him leaving the Heat, extending his contract is said to be Miami's top priority and I wouldn't be surprised if he is extended this offseason, but idk, I don't know the money details regarding a possible extension for Wade.

Really hope the Bulls keep Kirk though. I'd love to get rid of Deng but that leaves a hole at SF, I know we have Salmons but we don't have a legit 2nd option at that position. Just really hope Kirk and Deng stays, seems unlikely, funny because I was all for getting rid of him when the Amare rumors were floating around, never was a fan but he flashed why we need him in the playoffs.

Just draft Terrence Williams and trade that second first rounder or move up. After our first, first round pick there really isn't anyone I want or see that would fit.

Thought we could use a thread strictly for discussing the offseason. It will be a long one.

We have two first round picks this year. #16 and #26

Do we try to trade up? Draft players from both spots.

Save our money for 2010? Possibly go after say Boozer or Jermaine ONeal?

Just things to discuss and think about it.

I'd love to get Terrence Williams and DeJuan Blair. Doubtful we could get both though unless one falls.

My picks would be...

6th Man: Jason Terry
Most Improved: Danny Granger
Defensive POY: Dwight Howard
ROY: Derrick Rose
MVP: Dwyane Wade

Except Granger is not a candidate.

Ridiculous, don't blame it on being a matinee or on ESPN. If we lose its because of the players. Outside factors having nothing to do with it.

Problem is since the NBA All Star Game means nothing it really doesn't matter who gets selected as long as the fans favorite players make it. Its a popularity contest. Doesn't matter how good of a season your having as long as your noticed.

I know many people don't like the fact that the MLB All Star Game counts towards home field advantage but at the same time I don't complain with many of the selections and it seems to me deserving players get chosen.

I'd personally love to see the NBA use a homecourt advantage for the NBA, could make for some real exciting games and it might cause fans to choose players who deserve to go that would give their conference the best shot to win.

Thoughts?

Damn, got me excited for a second there I thought we had acquired him when I saw the thread title with the exclamation point.

Kaman would be a nice addition. I'd rather not give up Tyrus seems hes starting to come around. Noah can go in a heartbeat though he just doesn't seem to care.
