I really want to the Bulls get Aldridge with the number 2 pick...
but the part of me that loves facial hair thinks we should draft Morrison... if he became a superstar, he might have what it takes to make mustaches hip again... something that is long over due.

Why because if we make changes through free agency a player could be the fill in.
I dont think he is ready but the summer league can really get us a better idea for that.

I don't think he'd be a starter right away. I think we'd use him in an "energy" role off the bench. Plus this team is going to be going out there trying to add 1-2 more quality bigs.
Names include:

Pyrzbilla
Drew Gooden
Al Harrington
Carlos Boozer (via trade)
Nazr Mohammed
Jared Jeffries (if you consider him a 4)
And I'm probably forgetting some as well.

As the clock slowly winds down to the draft, I have to say that I am not worried. Paxson has drafted very well since becoming GM. Even his picks that I hated at the time (Hinrich over Pietrus) have ended up being great picks. As such, all I'm hoping for in this draft is that Bulls get a good sized 2 guard and a post with their 2 picks.
Here's hoping that Pax doesnt give me a heart attack tonight though.

Portand really wants Morrison, so the Bulls could potentially trade down and obtain the 4th and 7th for the 2nd and 16th. That would allow us Alrdidge or Thomas still plus Brandon Roy/Brewer or even Shelden Williams. Man, this is exciting.

I'm not surprised by this pick actually. I dont think the Bulls are concerned about having low post scorer, they want to be a permiter oriented team. I think thomas and noch can be on the floor at the same time with Tyson. Kryapa is 6-9, this Bulls team is looking like a running team that could be very fun to watch. Bring in Nazr or Pryzbila in the off-season... the Bulls have lots of trading pieces now.
Interesting move for the Bulls, I posted earlier, Pax has a plan... I hated the Heinrich pick, hated the Duhon pick, here's hoping the faith is rewarded (and future considerations in another #1)

1. We're not a very good perimeter team to begin with. Streaky shooters don't make for a good perimeter-oriented team.
2. krapkaka is worthless.
3. The idea of tyson and tyrus (spiff, their names even sound similar) on the floor together sickens me.

Defensive oriented teams do though, and say what you will about Thomas, if his offense catches up to his defense, he's a Marion type player.
Furthermore, the Bulls are not competing for the title next year, they are young, have tons of trading chips, have the Knicks #1 next year. Put some faith in Pax folks to eventually find that back to the basket guy the team needs.

I cant believe we took Thomas. He has potential, but we have Aldridge and he would help this team out immediately. Thomas could be another Chandler, thus making him a huge bust.
But, Pax has my trust and has done a brilliant job so far...so, maybe...there is a plan...
There have been trade rumors for Garnett...so...
We trade Chandler, Duhon, Deng and our 16th for Garnett and probably a couple of other throw ins...
Then Thomas can come off the Bench and develop. Noch will start at SF...I think Pax and Skiles are much higher on him than Deng(rightfully so)...
Then this frees up cap room to sign Ben Wallace. Trading Chandler also makes sense in regards to going after Wallace bc even though Wallace is light years ahead of Chandler in every way...they are both defensive players and dont really contribute on offense...

I am curious as to why everyone is so sold on LA... I don't think there are many instant impact guys in this draft... in fact, I dont think there are ANY instant impact guys. I'm not entirely sold on Thomas, and I do think it interesting that the Bulls have 3 guys for conceivably 1 spot (though Noc or Thomas could potentially guard a 4 against the right team). I think there could easily be another trade for the Bulls in the future.
Also of note, I've had enough of Stuart Scott and Dick Vitale. Stuart Scott asks some very tough questions
