Nate Rob is the JL3 "Get shots up" replacement, although he was better than JL3 last year and put up some nice numbers for GS. PER of 18, TS of 53%, highest assist average of his career.. Quietly a good signing if you get the player from last season. Teague needs a year or two before he gets consistent playing time-- he's not ready right now.

Tell me if this makes you scared:

Hinrich
Hamilton
Butler
Boozer
Noah

That, ladies and gentlemen, could be your Chicago Bulls starting lineup for the beginning of the 2012-2013 season! Prepare for a healthy dose of the 1-4 pick and roll with Kirk and Boozer.. Somebody help me. I'm gonna throw up.

Yeah I think they're talking with Atlanta now. The Korver deal was supposedly a 3 way involving the Blazers in the Batum sign/trade with Minnesota, but fell apart.. I'm still pissed that we are letting go of Korver. His importance to this team is drastically understated and the fact that he's really our only shooter makes the loss hurt even worse.

Can you think of any team who would be more injury prone than us after adding Michael Redd?

yaaaa nevermind lol I thought Ridnour was better than he actually is....he's my backup PG in NBA 2k12 and can rain 3s like a boss lol.

He is unstoppable in 2k12. He is what Kevin Martin was in 2k10 and what James Harden was in 2k11.

I forgot about Wayne Ellington. He's probably a more logical guess if it's a player. Only makes 2 mil next year compared to Korver's 5. This move I think is going to be all about saving money rather than a "Basketball" decision Gar keeps lying to fans about.

I'm wondering what the Bulls are going to get out of it? Is Minnesota under the cap to just absorb Korver? If so I expect it to be something insignificant like a second round pick to save the Bulls money (Rein$dorf) or maybe something a little better like a TPE, if they can do that.

If it's player for player, Anthony Randolph or Wesley Johnson are the only two relevant names I can think of that could possibly be going.

This would be the one guy the Bulls should be putting all their pieces in order for in the summer of 2014 when he may demand a trade going into the final year of his contract with Minnesota. He's good friends with Derrick and I think he'd consider coming here, but the Bulls track record hasn't been very good with reeling in the big time Free Agents for whatever reason. I do think Rose has to step up though and be more vocal about some guys. I know it's not in his nature but he's never going to get anywhere without another star quality player next to him, especially if NJ is about to form a super-team of their own, right alongside Miami. The Bulls clearly need more ammo to get over the hump and Kevin Love is the guy I'd love to have.

OKC scares me though as the team that Kevin Love would most like to go to, followed by the Lakers or the Bulls. He's said in the past that he talks with DRose and Westbrook about teaming up together one day and the Thunder have the trump card over the Bulls in any sign and trade that involve him. James Harden will likely be on a max contract and Ibaka will be awfully close. OKC could actually save money by consolodating their money into one player, and that's important for a small market team. Harden + Ibaka for Kevin Love might make sense if KLove announces that OKC is his prime destination.

If not, the Bulls could trade Noah, the Charlotte pick, their own first rounders, and possibly the rights to Mirotic and whatever else if need be for Love. 2014 will be the year the Bulls will again be able to re-tool around Derrick with Deng's contract coming off the books and Boozer likely an amnesty candidate.

Seems like he's starting to get the mental part of the game down because he's certainly always had the talent. He's a classic case of why the NBA had decided to dis-allow high schoolers from making the jump to the NBA. He wasn't quite ready and it got him out of the league within no time. Now it seems like he's started to mature a lot as a player and his growing confidence is showing up in his stats from this past season. He only played in 30 or so games but he really proved he can play if given the opportunity. I'd be pretty happy if the Bulls were able to land him as a backup 2/3. I've always been on the Bulls for not being athletic enough. Green would definitely fit that bill.

Dang. That's not the best news for Noah's ankle. The fact that it's still not recovered is a bit alarming. I hope this doesn't turn into a Steph Curry situation. He really bent the heck out of that thing when it happened.

Joe Johnson apparently going to NJ for cap space to Atlanta. This also means that the Nets can't afford Howard anymore if DWill re-signs. Time to pick up that phone again if you're the Bulls. They probably aren't anywhere near the top of his list but if LA decides to keep Bynum, it only increases their chances. Dallas was the other spot Howard wanted to go to but I'm pretty sure that was all contingent on Deron following their with him. The Mavs have the capspace for him but Dwight technically isn't a FA. Don't think they can offer a very entertaining trade package either. The Bulls have a good shot at landing Dwight if the GM chooses to send him to the team that offers the best value in return. But that's is then assuming he would sign an extension here if the other teams can't acquire him first.

Matching this type of contract would be punching a one way ticket to basketball hell.

Delonte West would be a good edition even though he's kind of a wacko. He'd come cheap and can play a little off-guard at times. I wasn't a fan of Brandon Roy before the draft but seeing how we failed to address the SG position in the draft, Roy might be another guy that you can sign for the vet min or slightly above. If they don't re-sign Omer I believe they'd have the full MLE, but chances of that happening are slim and none.

He's also been injured, which hasn't helped anything. Honestly, I'd like Kirk more at a low salary than I did at a high one.

One thing for certain, I'd rather a wet sock play point for us than the corpse of Jason Kidd.

Meh.. Both are pretty crappy options if you ask me. At least Kidd knows how to run an offense and can get people in the right places, if that counts for anything.

Kirk can't play anymore. His PER numbers have dropped off steadily over the past few seasons and he no longer is the defender he once was. He doesn't really even run an offense anymore. In Atlanta, his role had been diminished to making a pass and then standing in the corner while Joe Johnson and Jeff Teague do their thing. I would rather pick up CJ's option for one year than sign Kirk for less. He's no good. Hell, I'd rather have Jason Kidd for a year than Kirk.

I hope he's not just doing this because he doesn't want to miss any regular season time. His wrist better be 100% healed or this was a horrible decision.

If you hover around each player there are a lot of misc. details about the contract. I believe he commented on the Rose contract extension number. The information is pretty spot on for the most part. I haven't found too many sites quite like it.

Also, here's something that might break your hearts like it did mine..

Spoke to a source in Chicago that said the Bulls were ready to pull the trigger on Perry Jones if he was there at 29.

Perry Jones at 28 was the best value pick in the draft. Jury is still out on whether or not he can become a player, but in that environment? He doesn't have to be anything other than just another guy. If he pans out, you have a dynasty. Great pick for the Thunder.

The worst pick was probably Terrence Ross for the Raptors. I think he was a reach at 8, especially when they already have a SG in DeRozen. Houston's last two picks were also confusing to me. They picked Terrence Jones and Royce White, two PF's. Not sure either guy has the ability to play the 3 spot for long durations without hurting their team. I'm skeptical. The Jeremy Lamb pick was great though. He's the best SG in this draft IMO, at least top 2.

They can't just release them to get them off the payroll, their contracts are guaranteed so it'd still count against the team salary. That's the reason for the amnesty provision.

They all have options on their contracts that probably won't be picked up so they can avoid having to pay them.

Unfortunately that's exactly what I think is going to happen.

Korver and Brewer will still be here this coming up year.

It's been widely speculated from various media members of the Bulls that they will not be retaining Brewer, Korver, or Watson due to Luxury tax concerns. You have to keep in mind who our owner is. He doesn't want to pay it if he doesn't have to. I'd be shocked if any of them were back with the team.

Eric will be a restricted FA, I don't think he's going anywhere. They have a nice young core of players that they can build around. I personally feel like Austin is more of a 6th man type in this league than he is a starter. EG can handle the PG duties better than Austin although I do not expect them to share the floor much together.
