These aren't worth a thread.

Pacers point guard George Hill re-ups with Indiana.

RFA Landry Fields signs 3 years, $20 million with the Raptors. Knicks have the option to match.

Any chance Beasley turns it around? I remember a time when there were a loud group of people that preferred him to Rose in the draft.

If they played him at PF, maybe. At SF, I don't think so. He was a dominant rebounder and solid scorer down low in college, that disappeared when he started playing the 3 in the pros. He shoots too many jumpers at the 3, maybe at the 4 he'd get better shots and stop being quite so inefficient.

I always saw him as a 4 so I agree with that.

Isn't he somewhat undersized/understrengthed to really have success at that spot in most offenses?

Brandon Roy to the TWolves, 2/$10.4.

Nicolas Batum to the T-Wolves, 4/$45. Blazers can match.

He's listed at 6'10" 235. The 6'10" is a bit of a stretch, he was 6'7" in socks at the combine. However, he did weigh in at 239 and had a standing reach of 8'11", which is plenty of length. He hasn't had any trouble finishing in the NBA either, he's converted 62.4, 65.9 and 65 percent in the basket area the last 3 years. He was also a fair amount better when playing the 4 the previous two seasons, though he was generally bad this year.

Defense would be of far greater concern at that spot, but he's not exactly Scottie Pippen at the 3 anyways. Given his relatively low price and talent level, I'd say it's certainly worth a shot.

Is it just me or is this market freaking crazy? EVERYONE is getting overpaid

This may bode well for future years when no one has cap space

The Lebron year was worse. There were like five Asik-type offers for non-starters, Joe Johnson and Amare got never-ending deals for like $20 mil, Rudy Gay got like $16 mil a year, Boozer got $14 mil, the list goes on.

GM's are always going to make stupid offers, that didn't change with the new CBA (though these "max offers" to Hibbert and Gordon are a lot lower).
