Bulls waive former Oklahoma State guard Curry
July 31, 2008 CBSSports.com wire reports CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls waived guard JamesOn Curry on Thursday. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Curry was the team's second-round pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. Curry was suspended for one game July 10 by the NBA after he pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors in Idaho. Curry, a former Oklahoma State standout, was arrested in January and pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and urinating in public. Curry spent most of last season in the NBA's Development League. |

I get it in terms of cap space, but who exactly are the point guards on the bulls? Assuming one of BG/Kirk is traded and the other will back-up Rose (which is exactly why we should sign and trade Bg instead of trading Kirk), who's our 3rd pg? What if one of our two pgs turns an ankle and misses a week? A month? I thought JamesOn was at least solid enough during summer league to warrant a look as a 3rd/emergency pg as a 14th or 15th man on the bench. Especially for 250K for the season.
