Dirk Nowitski says hi I don't think he'll be Dirk but he certainly has the same skill set, I'll gladly take a lesser version of him. As Q said he's a perfect match for Jo and Rose. It's really hard to predict that someone will be able to be Dirk Nowitzki. Dirk has made a career of just making highly guarded shots. It's like saying you know this player will become Larry Bird, when you know the odds are better that he's Adam Morrison |

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/487KUp8cmaY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Mirotic shows off some post moves in this video. If he has some legitimate post moves to go with his range and high BBIQ then he'd be the perfect compliment to Noah and Rose. I'm excited about Mirotic, I think he could be an All-Star (in the David West mold, so not a perennial) if all pans out well and he maximizes his skills. Edit: Can we not post videos on this board? I am going to try to figure out the settings. |

I basically relayed the general consensus at the time of the Pau trade, that he was too slow and/or fat to be an impact player in the NBA. It's not like I watch Euro League games or anything, I rely on reports from people that have seen him and whatever limited clips I can find. I'm sort of assuming an Andres Nocioni caliber player and will be pleasantly surprised if he's better. I never imagined Marc Gasol would make the NBA, let alone this sort of impact. And I'm basing that on what I saw with my own eyes in High School. He played against my high school every year and we always kicked their butt. He was soft, slow, and liked to shoot 3's instead of bang down low. He didn't pick up any decent D1 scholarship offers out of high school (Memphis asked him to walk-on). Then he decides to go to Spain and all of a sudden developed into a player. It's one of the more shocking turn-arounds I've seen out of a player. |

As for Mirotic, he is seemingly developing into a pretty solid player. He's making an impact in Europe's best league, at least, at a young age.
He's the only 2x winner of the Euroleague's Rising Star award, which goes to the best player under 22 (I think). He was also named Euroleague Player of the Month in December, IIRC. |
