It seems like every year I hear people talking about some team beating that record. Are this year's Lakers that team? Everyone seems to think so. However, I don't.

Not a chance. There are four other very good teams that they will have to play and a number of solid teams in the West that can dominate on a given night. Plus if they get remotely close they'll probably start resting guys for the playoffs.

Nah, how many times do they play down to their competition and end up having to pull it out in the 4th against teams like the Kings and Clippers? Plus, the east is way more improved this year. they will lose ten games no doubt

I don't think most people realize how many things had to go right for the Bulls to pull off that season. Injury-wise, talent wise, the "FU" factor of Jordan coming back, the level of play on that team compared to the rest of the league, etc.

Some team will blitz out hot over the first 20-25 games, then someone will get hurt adn they'll slow down and fall off the pace.

Let me know when they're 41-3...or 54-6...

I might take them into consideration at that point.

Almost every year a team seems like it will beat 72-10, but by mid-season they already have their 10 losses. It wont happen.
And remember, the Bulls were about 2 points away from going 74-8!
