Derrick Rose...meet Kobe Bryant. He's a great player who dramatically hut his career by being a jerk. Learn from him. Then win more rings than he did.

QUOTE
Derrick Rose's teammates talk to him about everything from knowing opposing personnel to getting his rest to performing rookie tasks like carrying bags.

But they've been suspiciously silent on one subject: the annual extended November trip to make way for the circus at the United Center.

"If it was good, people would've been telling me," Rose said. "But nobody has been talking, so I don't even want to know."

The Bulls are quiet because talking about a 6-52 mark since Michael Jordan left town is painful. And this season's task is no easier with a brutal schedule that begins with back-to-back games against the defending Western Conference champion Lakers on Tuesday and up-and-coming Portland the next night.

If this game is closer than 25 points, I'll be shocked.

I agree, the Lakers look pretty impressive and are a bad matchup for us with their front line. I would be surprised if Bynum or Gasol doesn't go for 20 and 15.

Kobe's 81 might be in jeopardy lol, Gasol is eating us alive. I like the way we are competing in the 1st quarter so far! Tyrus brought some energy, and Drew gave us a quick spark from the start. There is nobody that can stay in front of Derrick Rose in this league, nobody.. He is just awesome!

Geez, I figured Gasol would give them problems, but 18 in the first quarter? jpshakehead.gif

Bulls are getting enough plays of their own to stay in it though.

Well, if they had we'd be in trouble, because we probably would have just barely been good enough to not get lucky on Rose in the lotto (one more win and we'd have been 10th, not 9th) and we'd be stuck with a lineup something like Hinrich, Nocioni, Gordon/Deng, and probably still Wallace playing with Gasol since we'd be "going for it." puke.gif

Now that last minute one that fell through that was supposedly something like Thabo, Noah, the pick (which probably wouldn't have ended up as Rose) and bringing Brown out of retirement to fill cap space is another story. dry.gif
