Blake Griffin is the favorite to win it, as he should be but I think it's actually going to be a closer race than some people think. Stephen Curry is my pick. He is in thee perfect system and team where he's going to get more than his fair share of shots and put points on the board. My bold prediction is him averaging about 20 ppg. He's a sharpshooter and on that team, they play run and gun.
So my prediction is that it'll be a close race between Blake Griffin and Stephen Curry, but I have Curry as the R.O.Y. Who you guys got? |

I have a very hard time seeing Curry score that many points with the number of chuckers already on the Golden State roster. Ellis, Jackson and Maggette are all going to do their best to get their points...
A lot of it will come down to minutes played, Beasley (coach's decision) and Oden (injuries/fouls) would have made it a lot more interesting last year if they were remotely close to 30 MPG and Lopez was way better than expect because he played well and often. I would say the only three legitimate candidates are Griffin, Harden and Curry. I would be VERY surprised if anyone else won it. All of them have skills and all should get heavy minutes. The ultimate winner will probably come down to who gets the most shots/biggest role (especially if injuries or trades happen) since none of them are likely to be the first or second scoring option on their team. Davis and Gordon will probably take a ton of shots in LA, Durant is a stud scorer and Westbrook and Green are legit options as well, and Ellis/Jackson/Maggette are all likely to get 16 or more. If I had to pick I would take Griffin because he can make the biggest impact without scoring because of his rebounding and defensive potential. |

i was going to say stephn curry, but im going to go with demar derozan. i think hes going to be the star of the draft besides blake griffin.having chris bosh on his team getting double teams will help him alot. if given the playing time i think he can win ROY.

I agree with that! Before the draft I had Curry and DeRozen as my favorites for the best of the best in this draft (Besides Griffin). I think it'll just take DeRozen a little bit more time to develop but I see alot of McGrady in him; hopefully he can stay away from injuries though! |

personally i think derozan is going to be a bust...
but anyways looking at the guys that are probably going to get the most playing time: griffin harden evans flynn curry and maybe jennings and williams i think jennings will suprise some people. as long as griffin averages double digits and a good number of boards, as well as adjusting to not getting every goddamn call like he's used to at OU, i think he'll probably take it. i don't really expect much out of this class past the top 10 picks, but hopefully there are some suprises |

Dejuan Blair will be the rookie of the year unless Griffin stays healthy and gets 30+mpg. Blair will start from day 1. He'll be healthy and he'll make 26 GM's including Gar look foolish for passing on him. Gar = Idiot. I pray that Taj works out.

I was just going to post Dejuan Blair. Great minds think alike. My prediction: Blair won't score much b/c the Spurs have enough scorers (Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, Jefferson) on their team but he'll help the Spurs regain the #1 overall seed in the Western Conference next year (though they might not beat L.A. in the playoffs). I think he'll start either from day one or after a month or so into the season and the job will be his the rest of the year. He'll average double digit boards, shoot a good FG%, and he'll be a solid defender. 8.9 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 1.4 bpg, .7 spg, 57.5% FG, 69% FT in 30 mpg. He might get some back to back games off to rest the knees but if he plays more than 30 mpg his rebound numbers could be in the unheard of 12+ range for a rookie. |

Blair is going to be good if his knees hold up. He could be the next Sean May or the next Ben Wallace when he was good.
