QUOTE Chicago Bulls' new 'bench seat' runs $125,500 per season July 24, 2006 By Gregory Meyer (Crain’s) — For the wealthy fan who can’t get close enough to pro basketball, the Chicago Bulls are selling new seats on the floor, next to the visiting team’s bench, in the United Center for the 2006-2007 season. The new “bench seats” will be installed on the floor between the visiting team’s bench and the scorer’s table and are limited to six a game. Even though they’re charging $2,500 per game per chair, the Bulls said Monday that the bench seats have sold out as season tickets. Buying a single bench seat for the entire season cost $112,500, not including playoffs, said Steve Schanwald, the Bull’s executive vice-president of business operations. For that price, the buyer also gets free parking, free food and drinks, leather chairs, and membership to the United Center’s Locker Room Club restaurant. The bench seats are selling for more than triple the price of the Bull’s next most expensive seats, so-called “courtside” seats that cost $750 each. The Bulls are adding 20 courtside seats in the coming season, bringing the total to 128. The Bulls are also adding 40 new “main floor” seats at the west end of the court; those sell for $200 apiece. They will take up space where some press tables once sat. http://www.chicagobusiness.com/cgi-bin/news.pl?id=21450 |

Next Promotion/Upgrade: $15,000 a game to sit in a backpack the Bulls will wear on the court as part of their uniforms.

About the only good thing during the rebuilding was the ticket prices...I will NEVER do the 11 game plan because that's in the 300's...too far away...Best seats I've had which I couldn't complain...Section 106 Row 'G' for $105...that was right underneath the basket...and I had those tix 3-31-05 vs. Cavs...the OT win which K-Rich and the Bulls upstaged Bron-Bron and the Cavs and showed off for everyone not in the UC on TNT. I've sat in the Sect. 116 corner there for $90 which ain't bad either...
Any seats in Club Level 200's with service at the seat for about $60...I'm sure those days will be short lived...but for them bench seats...I'd better be able to hear my boy K-Rich calling out the plays...and have him drop on by in between plays and quarters for that kinda cold cash..... |

Those are probably some awesome seats, but darn thats a lot of dough. I think the Knicks charge even more cause I remember seeing how Spike Lee spends a ton every year.
